Pressure pressure pressure grin grin

“It is now or never for him with us,” Wenger said. “You go one time out, two times out – after that, you don’t know any more if you belong to the club or not."

Come on Joel, show us what you've got.

COYG!!!

He took it because he was ready. Many of our youngsters today are not ready. The ones close to being ready (MAYBE Akpom and MAYBE Zelalem) are still on loan and even for those two, it's a big MAYBE.

Interestingly, one player I reckon might just do a Coquelin for us if AW recalls him is Maitland Niles. He's consistently played on the eight at Ipswitch and done very well in a few games I've seen. Though he's just 18, he's the closest to solving our problems IMO if we're looking at the academy boys
Honestly I depend solely on your assessment of those academy boys, make sure your infos are correct because I use them for my arguments. cheesycheesy thanks.

Haha...maybe I should start charging...lol

I do get to watch many of them even those on loan and I can only give honest assessment. My assessment is based on what I see and sometimes for those on loan, I go on their respective loan clubs forum to read what the fans are saying about them.

At the end of the day though, with the young guys, things can change very quickly. Take Zelalem for instance. Very talented and Ozil like player but when he was at the academy, he looked very frail and I personally felt he was years away from EPL level. He's gone to Rangers in Scotland now and has done very well. At his young age, he's arguably one of their best players. The coach and fans think so too. So in a few months, he's improved drastically on the physical side. Again it's only Scotland Division 1 and I'll need to see him against top teams but I won't be surprised if he's playing in the EPL next year something I didn't think he'll do till at least 2017/18 season.

On the other hand, former gooner, JET was way ahead of his mates at the academy and had already shown class on loan at Blackpool, etc. I felt it shouldn't be long before we see him banging in goals for the first team but his attitude and laziness and some other issues on and off the field saw him pushed to division 1 Bristol City in spite of his talent. I watched some of his games for Bristol City and couldn't help but feel sorry for him cos the talent is definitely there. He scored a lot of goals for them despite playing from the bench many times. He seems to be getting back on track now at QPR. I believe they are preparing for the exit of Charlie Austin so JET has been getting a lot of game time in recent times

So with these young guys, making definitive predictions can be hard but at least I can speak about their current ability and leave he predictions to Nostradamus cheesy

Good game. I particularly like how we did not panic despite Swansea's early push.
Nice goal Campbell. More of that please.
Another 3 points; Another clean sheet cheesy

What confidence can do. Joel Campbell didn't play badly today, I'm sure he'll improve as he gets game time

Clean sheet for Cech, goal of Giroud, 3 points to the team

What do you guys think of Mahrez?
I won't mind seeing him here in January especially with our current injury woes. My only worry is if he is defensive enough to play on our right side. Asides that, the guy is really good and will be good enough for our squad

Do you you think they play 4-4-2 vs 4-5-1 in the lower leagues... it's never about tactics... that's why Burnley and some other teams can't stay in the premiership... you need players with quality and excellent technique with a good footballing brain to play tactical football... and those players don't come cheap...

Sheffield Wednesday beat Arsenal 3-0... were they superior tactically to Arsenal or we were out muscled out of the league cup...?!

You learn the physical aspect of the games in the lower leagues...

Again I agree. I still don't see how it relates to my post. That's why I asked for clarification

Good job

Yeah good job from the lads. They started slow but came back in the second half to do the business. A lot of credits also go to Cech and Bellerin for preventing Swansea taking an early lead.

Ozil will always be ozil. Just 2 good. Bellerin nd cech really gave us d 3pts. Meanwhile, campell went missin since 2014 and ozil just found him. Good in trackin back but he needs 2 play d arsenal way esp in d final third. Gr8 game by d lads.

The way Coquelin does his job these days, you wouldn't even notice him. He is so pro active that he notices a situation before it unfolds, and swiftly defuses it.

I wonder what his price tag would be by now, if he was playing for Everton, since apparently, stones now command over 40million pounds in transfer market.

my problem with these French dudes is that their agents will start bombarding The Arsenal with requests for their men to move to PSG and what not. Anyways, you can't hide a gem forever.
As for wednesday, this Walcott situation has really affected our plans, his injury came way too early. I only pray he doesn't stay out for too long this time round.

Walcott, Ramsey and Chamberlain injuries might yet be a blessing in disguise.

They might help us unleash the beasts that have been hidden in Campbell and Iwobi, like Debuchy, flamini, Arteta injuries helped us unleash the beasts in Coquelin and Bellerin.

On the transfer ish, I don't think any other big teams in current club world football can take away players from English big teams, not with this incoming big TV right money.
Look at what Everton did to Chelsea, look at Man u and De gea.

Premier league clubs can now afford to pay their players whatever weekly wages the likes of PSG, Madrid and Barca can offer them.
We can offer Coquelin whatever financial reward PSG or any other club will try to entice him with.
