Bros, i am relating this from experience.
Let me set some things straight, once d portal opens 4 accommodation on friday and u secure ur bedspace, u will need to printout d bedspace clearance form. U will present d clearance form when u resume on sunday 2 d hall wardens and they will allow u into d halls of residence temporarily and on afterwards u proceed 2 d bank on monday 2 pay 4 d space and u'r secured 4 d session.
U can take any elective within and outside ur faculty but not an elective been handled by ur department.

Use of scratch cards have made it easy to make ur payments(online) anytime... U fit wan buy fone for Alaba kon drop money bifo u begin luk for fone to buy?...Get a space before paying for it,sis.

olayiwola9: For all those doubting the payment method, need i inform you that oauife does her registration using scratch card. It was only changed in 2011 when the acceptance fee was increased from 2k to 20k so that the then sug will not stop the sales of the scratch card. I think it is being re-introduced because the sug is no longer functional.

olayiwola9: electives are courses you do just to have knowledge of it. They don't add to your g.p. They are not always courses that are related to your course.

in otherwords, its not compulsory.

1. DO NOT PAY FOR ACCOMMODATION WHEN THE BEDSPACE HAS NOT BEEN SECURED (it starts on friday 4 freshmen) . Money paid isn't refunded by d skol and if it will be refunded, it takes a cumbersome process except giving d skol 3k doesn't count much 2 u. U only pay after e-portal might have allocated u a bedspace then u pay ur accommodation 2 redeem it. If u do it vice-versa u may end-up forfeiting ur cash 2 d skol only if u'r unlucky not 2 have been allocated a bedspace. Be warned b4 u come back 2 nairaland posting tales of how OAU chop ur money without given u accommodation.
2. THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT, REGISTRATION STARTS 2MARO BY 12NOON, MAKE SURE U REGISTER 4 SPECIAL ELECTIVES AS MANY AS POSSIBLE. UR CORE COURSES ARE REGISTERED AUTOMATICALLY but u ave 2 select d special electives urself. There are limited spaces 4 special electives and it is much easier executing SE in ur Part 1. Some nice electives are SEL 001, SED 001,SEA 001, SEH AND SO ON. Please once e-portal opens 2maro by noon, hit d portal and register those electives. Remember 2 create ur account on d portal by login with ur utme reg numba and a password of ur choice 2 enable u do d above and so fone brower won't permit ur registration use a computer system internet explorer precisely.
