TOSIN ACCA:
THANKS BRO!
@ Those confused about electives:
READ THE PREVIOUS POSTS(at least two pages backwards) and try to make sense of them.Note that your core courses will be automatically be registered.Meanwhile, you can choose electives from ANY FACULTY OTHER THAN YOURS.
So start thinking:what are the subjects or area of study you like that are not related to you course?
For me, I've my eyes on FAC. Of SOCIAL SCIENCES(political science-specific),SCIENCE(math-specific) and ARTS(english or literature-specific).
Also, CHOOSING TOO MANY ELECTIVES MIGHT BE DISASTROUS IF CARE IS NOT TAKEN!
But let's wait and see what the e-portal comes up with.
However, the ONUS WILL BE ON THOSE WHO HAVE MADE PAYMENTS(dsaintpee,etc) TO ENLIGHTEN US ON THE REGISTRATION PROCEDURES ONCE THE PORTAL IS UPLOAD.
:->
THIS IS MY TAKE ON THE ISSUE.
pls wot r d core n elective courses for administratn n wot is d max no. Of courses one can reg. 4 in a semesta? Thanx in anticipatn.

endymion: Hey guys,dnt over stress yourself about the electives,once you are doing your online course registration,the section for the electives is there and it is so programmed that it will never bring up any electives that is forbidden for your faculty/department.i will advise you pick just two thats four units now though you are required to pass six electives i.e 12 units before graduation.just take it easy,dont be too anxious,u'll fine d e-portal friendly enough.all the best.
I was even going to ask you for the electives Geography students would pick sef. Issokay.

Tonisious504: pls wot r d core n elective courses for administratn n wot is d max no. Of courses one can reg. 4 in a semesta? Thanx in anticipatn.
To be honest with you, I DON'T KNOW.
The fact is that whatever our core courses will be, they can't be changed!They are AUTO-MA-TI-KA-LI REGISTERED FOR US!
The ONLY COURSES WE HAVE POWER TO CHOOSE OR NOT ARE THE ELECTIVES.
If you read earlier post you'll discover that A STUDENT IS EXPECTED TO HAVE DONE AND PASSED 12 UNITS OF COURSE WORK UNDER THE SPECIAL ELECTIVES!
Note that 1 elective attracts 2 units(although there are exceptions).HENCE, IT WILL BE LOGICAL FOR A STUDENT TO DO AT LEAST 2 PER SESSION SO THAT BY THE END OF YEAR 3, ALL ELECTIVES SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED.
However,there are STIPULATED TOTAL LOAD UNITS(capacity) that must be done in a semester:
FOR EXAMPLE,if my total load unit is 24 units.
IF I'M TO DO 5 CORE COURSES WHICH ARE ALL 3 UNITS EACH, LIB001(0 unit)and ser001(5 unit-not very sure) that makes a total of 20(3*5+5) units.THEREFORE, I'LL BE LEFT TO CHOOSE SPECIAL ELECTIVES to cover the remaining 4 units.THUS, the max no of electives is 2 since one elective is 2 units OR IF I LIKE I CAN PICK THE ONE THAT CARRIES 4 UNITS.
:->
THIS IS WHAT I CAN MAKE OUT OF ALL I'VE BEEN READING ABOUT ELECTIVES.
However,let's tread carefully as any SLIP could be COSTLY.
E-PORTAL(the most anticipated site to be uploaded in naija as at present)
