pls help me

i downloaded smf but each time i  click the install file
it give me an error,
saying a prog is opening incorreclty

pls what do i do as am trying to download to my local host first?

hello simple machine forum sofware requires your database information
the forum directory
as in
home/yourname/pubulic_html/forum

2 you will need php and Cgi experience
you will have to set some files to be Re-writable

then yoyu are on the move
