Yes you can ! Can! Can !
I have a friend who went thru exactly what you are going thru now with the slipping gears and loss of power.
He simply put in a QX4 transmission in and voila. Rolling all over town in peace and quiet.
The only noticeable difference offcourse is the smoothness of the CVT trans is gone and the relatively slower takeoff from standstill.
If not you wouldn't even know the difference if you are not accustomed to the CVT Trans! And its cheap as hell to run now.

i will seriously like to try this. I heard they can convert it with a nissan quest automatic tranny too

please i need expert guidance.....my Nissan Murano 04 engine needs replacement, it possible to replace it with a Toyota sienna engine and gear box

It would help if you at least stated what is actually wrong with your Murano engine.

From nissan to toyota and is only engine and tranny u will change!!!!! grin

The money you will spend on this conversion will buy even buy the complete sienna

Guys, please help with my Murano. We swapped Maxima engine & gearbox into it, but since then it can not rev past 3000 rpm and it does slow acceleration (slipping). The gears also do kicks in D & R.
