When you consider that the Feds have been constructing the second Niger bridge on paper for eons you will appreciate this feat. Others may blow his trumpet but the man sure knows his onions when it comes to critical insfrastructure. Just look at the state of our man bridges at Jebba, Lokoja and Makurdi. Shameful.

OAM4J:

most times with construction works, pictures don't tell the whole story. Like pictures don't show the foundations which most of the times consume more than 40 % of the whole project cost.

I just don't know why we have to keep lecturing these ignorant illiterates all the damn time, it's really tiring.

These ignorants really can not be the future of Nigeria.

Let us see its completion, There might be a toll gate

that is definite, and it is good, no problem, at least it is a new bridge not renovated community road.

When was the contract awarded gan sef and see how far they've gone.

You are here crying about irrelevances, but they've been tinkering with your village niger bridge since 19 gbogboro and it still remains a crumbling piece of shittttt.

Lagos is moving ahead, but you clowns are here trading meaningless jargons all over the place while your own village is heading back to the stone age

It's 2011 and you losers are still begging the federal government for hand outs like little babies, common bridge in your village you can not renovate.

Is Fashola not a governor just like your clueless and incompetent governors?

Why is Fashola building this and commissioning that everyday, but your governors can not lift a dam finger to do any anything?

Oh I forgot, the federal government is coming to tie your shoes for you,

suxs to be you for real

lmao

And you are? smh for you. Simply because you have a one-track mind that cannot see anything wrong with any policy of the government you support?
The bridge in question is commendable, the toll issue without an alternative motorable road is not! If you've lived outside Nigeria you will understand that. Even a GPS will ask you whether you want to drive through a toll road or avoid it, and the alternative is just as good!
I don't have that much problems with Fashola as I have with GEJ, but I am not so consumed in my support or dissidence to not see when some policy is commendable or wrong. You guys bore us with your partisanship.

Yes, erecting a critically needed infrastructure is a very bad policy,

I hope you are not the smartest loser in your village,

And who cares if you like Fashola or not? Did you liking Fashola or not liking him prevented him from awarding the contract for this bridge or doing his job at all?

Abeg clear road,

Good to see that work on the bridge is proceeding but I do not think it even 15% complete, let alone claiming it is 80% complete smiley

Every community gets what ever infrastructural solutions designed to address their specific needs. The is not about tribe so get your tribal Bottom out of your head.

You really should be worried about your crumbling village Onisha and niger bridge that's getting zero attention from your incompetent leaders.

Bro you took the words out of my mouth. . . . Its one thing to be an illiterate and another thing to be plain feeble-minded. . . I think the OP "gracefully" falls into the latter category. People like himself should have " VIAGRA FOR BRAIN" top of their prayer/wish list.

lagos is beautiful today is Because of  Manpower development from Igbo tribe
What has yoruba contributed
if not sitting with their Lazy A$$ in every junction , collecting 'owoda'
shouting like people in psychiatrist Hospital  grin grin grin
every revenue generated in Lagos today is as a result of Igbo's efforts  cool
if we are to leave today, believe me lagos must fall angry

Good to see this project is progressing, but why will BRF and his advisers neglect to follow simple safety rules and wear hard hats?

As for the 80% vs 50% questions, the article is poorly written but I think the 50% refers to the level of completion of the alternate road bypassing the toll gates on Lekki-Epe expressway and not the bridge.
