The next items has a timeline of 31/03/2020 with the GGM, HR responsible for its execution. One of the action item is to "Implement Competency Based Deployment".

Remember the comments concerning "Internal realignment first before considering the EH list" made by Aremolomi and Loaded89.

Hello all....EH hopefuls...the news is that some senior staffs are disgruntled about employing those who do not grow in the system from scratch to now enter Midway and sometimes get to boss them who have been in the system.one told me 2 weeks ago that the recruitment has been scrapped that previous EHs who do not really understand the system has ruined it in time past,another one told me today again giving the first reason..I know it's all speculations because there's a gap between ss5 and ss3,presently no ss5 in the system the ss4s are moving to ss3 by dis year,hence there will be no ss4 in the system as such,except the ones that probably have grown from the JS Level who would be old by now.
There was rumour on all the SBUs to collate their contract workers and forward to Abuja according to business needs which either signifies a conversion want to take place,but i am hearing again that it's on hold..bit what I do know is that some persons want to be compensated and the remaining available slots which is the EH is under severe contention...
No source, I know some persons in one of the SBUs I'm always there pushing my hustle.. info's fly

Please, I beg of you guys, we are all mature, our relations here should be a far cry from what transpired when the wait included the GTs.

If you have a submission to make, pls do. If you don't, please do not attack or discourage anyone who tends to make a submission even if it doesn't look like it holds much water.

Let's keep this thread alive, closure on the GTs almost murdered this thread.

Sources please keep it coming, I trust we are all grown up enough to handle info with a pinch of salt.

Who else heard ?A friend of mine at my present work told me he watch a program on channels TV they were commending NNPC for their transparency and high NO of intake in this latest GT .We pray it will go on for the EH too .
Although the news not too relevant for us now .

Was there any mention of the pending EH aspect of the exercise?

I have from a very reliable person that the GMD is the one sitting on the EH List.

This is because it simply doesn’t favour him. All justification has been given. But he insists on No. There needs to be some kind of pressure being mounted because he has no one he’s reporting to and can do as he pleases. So pray things don’t get switched up on you and report him to your God.

For the EHs in the house please say your prayers and connect with higher authorities you know. I just finished from a call with a friend and him and his brother received their letters of employment on Tuesday for EH positions. I was in the know when things were happening and am glad for them it clicked. Alot of this EH positions is being taken up through back channels but hopefully something good comes out for you guys. Keep hope alive.

No disrespect brother, but are you hoping and wishing or is there a source backing to this? Because in the words of the person who spoke to the HR person I'm talking about, he said "that EH aspect of the recruitment hasn't progressed beyond the interview stage"

I seriously doubt it will be canceled. PENGASSAN will not allow that. Don't forget they don't put such in offer letters. They are all embedded in the clause that says benefits are as stipulated in NNPC's condition of service.

There is no way that N1.5m quoted will be the only pay for GTs. NNPC is an oil company, not a ministry. Anyhow, the total package is competitive with other oil companies (bar IOCs and other top upstream independents).

Jarus please can you help us cast a net to check out what you can get as per info on the EHs status.

I believe we can handle any info sweet or sour. Just to get a clear picture on stuff. Thanks

Word just got to me but I wouldn't wanna banter here. If you people only knew the politics that was played with this NNPC job you wouldn't look down on yourself cos you didn't get the APL. For those that didn't get APL trust me you did so well. it was just the will of God. Rather see it as a blessing in disguise. But All I have to say is, this is the most corrupt government ever in Nigeria. This regime is rotten to the core. At this juncture I hide my face in shame to be called a Nigerian. Go pray for your country Nigeria. it's Leaders are driving the country to doom

There are vacancies but the issue is mainly at the managerial cadre, once the vacancies are filled now, the people in SS1 will find it very difficult to cross over to M level. From SS5 to SS2 no problem, there is room for promotion and ascension, that's why they want to make sure everything is well sorted out.

That "Conclude" didn't go down well with me at all. As for the press release, that fourth paragraph seemed like an unending drift.

More polite comments should be thrown in on both his personal and official handles (twitter).

I love this thread. We learn lessons everyday. As a philosopher, I can’t ignore some pertinent things I have noticed. I remember when there was unity and everyone, or most people, prayed and clamoured for APL in unison. Even when we opposed those who came here with APL predictions (sauces), everyone united in attacking us in return. Now APL came, but guess what? Everyone answered his father’s name and fewer persons than the rest got the APL and came to express their joy and happiness, and it seems these ones will move on with their new lives without even looking back at the rest who didn’t get APL. One thing I noticed from most celebrations here was the absence of consolation to those who didn’t get. People just came here to thank ‘God’ in heaven, and some announced they knew nobody and were happy; one shared picture of his roasted fish and Pepsi in celebration mood. Another, in happiness, even said he would give his first salary to God (I laugh because he is actually giving his hard-earned money to his pastor). Majority of testimonies all reeked of ‘all man for himself’. I’m not exonerating those who did not get APL; if you guys had gotten, you would have done the same thing too.

So what am I saying? This clearly shows us that in this life, the average man is self-centred and cares for no one but himself first and foremost. If the average man unites or acts in unity, his driving factor is his personal gain—not your gain, but his. All the best to all GT applicants who did not make it, and of course congrats to those who made it. I am EH, and I wish all EH, who will get and who will not get, the best in their endeavours.

For those who didn't get it, this was an attractive door, but it seems closed for you, continue walking down the corridor, you may be shocked how many more attractive doors await you.

If you asked me, source or no source, doesn't really matter. Some of us take these updates too seriously. If you know how government MDAs work, you will know that no directive is irreversible and no timeline is ever guaranteed.

I have come to take the people on this platform as friends.

If man had cosmic control over the course of events, I would will it to favour most of the brains on this platform so that one day, we could all sit and talk over a beer or something.

Without equivocation or any reservation, I make bold to say that this thread showcases so much talent. You deserve a whole lot.

In view of the foregoing I make bold to tell you; that on good authority, the matter is still not close to closure. At least not within this month.

Last time I spoke I stated "at least middle of December". However, with the recent update I got, I guarantee you it won't be this December. That's the sad reality of government jobs, you can't place a timeline and expect it to stand, there would always be issues that would alter very well planned schedules.

It is logistically and bureaucratically impossible for the closure to work this year given the state of affairs in-house. It isn't an assumption I assure you.

I don't think there is anyone here whose disappointment is higher than mine.

The good news however is that the process hasn't yet been highjacked.

Going back into ghost mode, at least till next year.

May our expectations not be cut short.

Clearly, Napolitan was genuine. Anyone who is or has worked in the public sector should understand that dates cannot be relied on, particularly in federal establishments. I know the time it took for appointment letters that where already printed to be dispatched in my office this, same year.

The inertia is what matters and that accounts for the reason why I am personally feeling happy; the wheels have started rolling. Multiple sources have confirmed this and it all started with the statement from MKK at the townhall meeting, every other development gives credence to this.

I too have had some scattered sources, from the inside and outside. These include people who have a relative or friend who are equally interested.

A handful of powerful people who I know and some I have heard about are equally on their toes, the tension about the outcome is palpable. This puts a smile on my face; because maybe, just maybe, the average local man stands a good chance.

I personally believe the fortunate ones will get their ApL between now and middle of December. These things take time, plus some internal dynamics.
