Jesus was the one taken to Egypt in Matt 2:14, while Joseph was taken to Egypt in Gen 39:1.

The two characters in question were actually taken to Egypt.

Yeah, baby Jesus was taken by His parents to Egypt when king Herod was after the new born king. Thereafter, He was brought back after the death of Herod. On the other hand, Joseph was sold by his bothers to the Egyptian merchant and one thing led to the other and he became a prime minister there. He never came back to Israel alive, but his bones.

That is it. Even people can no longer bold enough to go out to the place of worship or even sleep well in their houses anymore just because of the rein of terror by some buffoons Islamist sect who doesn't  even represent a true Muslims.  This is what we ask for as a Nation, to ignore the fact and choose to embrace tribal and religious sentiment to select a competent leader. My advice is that all christians should stay at home tonight. Or at the very least, avoid all the megachurches and stick to smaller ones. There's nothing going on in church that is worth getting killed over.

Anybody who is banking on divine protection should think about the innocent children who got blown up on christmas day and know that god is not going to protect anybody. This is the new reality, we have to deal with it.

What do you know? how can you understand when you are blind and unlearned! Anyway, you should know that you cannot run forever, you must face them one day, so why not now!

i strongly believe boko haram is too busy trying to avoid the security agencies ever shrinking  dragnet in the north to ever try to come south where the consequences of such grand stupidity could greatly endanger the lives of those moslem northerners they claim to protect. unlike in the north where they enjoy vast northern population that is disillusioned and angry with GEJ govt, such cover is lacking down here. however, the decision by those churches not to open for services, will only goad boko haram into seriously attacking them in order to drive them into the atlantic ocean. moreover, these pastors are inadvertently telling their flocks that their faith is much more shallower than those of boko haram.

Boko Haram is achieving their aim, to scare people away from church. but they can always attack on any regular sunday! so I think its not worth missing the congregational prayer! IMO.

I cannot believe abotu 40-50 million christians in Nigeria cannot simply pray the Boko-Haram problem away like they do their other problems -sheesh!

They may also strike on new year day, so why not be wise. Jesus has already died for nigeria, even for the whole world. There's no need for anybody to be killed for nothing. Am i very suprised? If it was Christ embassy that cancelled first, you'd be here spewing out scripture verses to support. But no, it's the next door pest, right? And something's wrong with cancelling worship meeting. Better be responsible for the security of your many branches, and not put lives at unnecessary risks.
