Jesus taught us to love and pray for our enemies.

Matthew 5:44-45 (KJV)

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Therefore have you prayed for your enemies as Jesus commanded us to do?

If you haven't it's suggests you're not a true follower of Jesus because true followers of Jesus keep His teachings.

In the context of praying for our enemies, you need to Understand we have 2 kinds of enemies the physical ones and the spiritual ones. You can't pray and love your spiritual enemies cos the have come to steal and destroy rather you battle them and don't give them breathing space or else they will destroy you and your entire generation, quoted from the scripture "we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities". You destroy them before they destroy you. The part you quoting is meant for our physical enemies those that betrayed us or harmed us physically those are the ones you pray for and forgive.

in the Bible both the old testament and the new testament, almost very body there pray for their enemies to die, so why Will I be the one praying for my enemies to live.
The enemy planning for someone death, if you don't pray fire on their head, they might succeed one day because human beings hardly repent. Na who die na him lose, some will repent in their old age that time they might have killed many people before repenting

Sadly most so-called Christians are not willing to obey this particular teaching of Jesus.

They don't even want to hear such teachings of Jesus because it doesn't align with what appeals to their flesh.

They'd rather hear those of their men-pleasing church leaders, who preach what they want to hear and encourage them to be vengeful against their enemies praying for them to "die, die die by fire" even though such go against the teachings of Christ.

That's how one came to a related thread of mine and objected that teaching despite knowing fully well it emanated from Jesus Himself.

She was adamant because according to her, she has to attack them so they will not be able to attack her.

Unknown to her though was that the best way to be secure and protected by God from her enemies and the wicked is through the obedience of His Word, because it's the disobedience of God's Word, aka sin, that exposes us to the attacks of the enemy.

That's why the enemy is still tormenting many Christians today despite all their prayer for their enemies to die, because they can't reject the teachings of Jesus and still expect to enjoy the security and protection that comes with the obedience of His Word.

Jesus did not tell Christians to pray for the enemies to have more strength to fight the LIGHT. So be mindful of what you pray for while praying for the so - called enemy.

Jesus never prayed for anyone except those who are willing to do what he taught {John 17:8-9} he is talking about people whom we see as enemies but in the real sense they are just looking for how to survive.
The enemies Jesus is coming to destroy are God's enemies not to those you think are enemies!

When everyone is struggling to survive there is bound to be frictions here and there that doesn't make anyone enemy from God's viewpoint that's why Jesus said we should pray for those we view as enemies. Luke 6:27-28

But there are enemies of good things this ones are known by God and his holy ones (anointed Christians) this ones are judged already because they are not our enemies rather they are God's enemies!
