According to Television Continental (TVC), the police has accepted the responsibility the shooting. According to Channels Television reported that the youths were shot at while playing football in their neighbourhood. One of the gunshot victims said he was coming from the bus stop were he went to read sport papers when the police started shooting as he made to cross the street. Youths in that area beseiged the Agege Police Station in protest of the shooting of the young men. One of the eye witness said to Channels reporters on camera that the police vehicle no. is RS 1018 and that there 8 police officers in the vehicle. The name of dead youth is given as Demola who was playing football with his friends before he meet with his untimely death through police bullet. Abeg, what kind of Police brutality is this?
