Someone calls to ask for a favour (obviously monetary). The person called on the first of the month. You agree to gift him/her a token on the thirty-first of the month when you get paid. From the second of the month until the day you deliver on the promise, the person chooses to call and send messages to your phone at least eight times daily. On some days, the person sends messages ten times.

What is going through the person’s mind? Is there something advantageous to the disturbance? I’m confused here. Doesn’t the person have real world issues to handle?

If the person’s wife/child/mother is sick, how will blasting a potential benefactor with calls change things? Why not start doing so on the final four days to the promise? I will never understand the thought process behind it.

Illicit, welcome. Why not do all the calling on the last day to the official time? Why bother the person from the second day of the promise till the last day? Many times, I’ve completely regretted granting the favour due to this.

Only thing I fit say be say people get different level of understanding. Your own level of understanding and exposure fit Dey different from the next person own.

Especially for naija, I no Dey expect everybody to reason like me. Some people no know Wetin be ‘courtesy’ due to their upbringing and different factors. So I Dey try not to judge people based on their actions.

So best option na to busy the person call or tell am say you always Dey busy, tell am anything. You fit even create boundary if you fit tell am say you no like too much calls and e no Dey nice. People ‘like’ and ‘dislike’ me because I fit call anybody out. So next time, try tell am you no like the calls and if the person continue- you go stop to Dey chat am.

As far as you Dey this platform, expect anything since na faceless forum. Some comments fit make you vex, some go make you laugh while others fit make you sad.

Best thing na to help the person from afar. Poverty mentality Dey infectious. Na why Robert Greene warn say make we avoid the unhappy and unlucky. E good to help them but no Dey too close because dem go use their lamentation corrupt your habits.
