It was a good stop! Most guys ahead of Vettel may still need to make a stop! I think Vettel has done enough to stay ahead of Alonso going into Austin

vettel tires will be fresher at the end and they should be able to give him a jump button once the safety car comes in. he may be able to claim a shock win or a podium.

He can only drive well from pole abi, isn't that what the Vettel critics claim. Take a bow Seb, even with your bad luck still made the podium. phenomenal result. Much thanks to Webber for clearing Massa from his way, else Ferrari would have used him to further compromise his race.

Baba Ijebu just told me that he had conquered Vettel's forces of darkness in Qualifying, BUT they came back for revenge during the race, with help from the evil forces of LUCK. Baba Ijebu was no match to them, sadly!!!!

Happy for Kimi, and Vettel coming through the pack was amazing, Button is just weak, not because Vettel passd him but he gave up on trying to pass Alonso.

You Alonso and Hamilton fanboys need to fall back tho!! The myth that Vettel has the perfect car has been put to rest this season. You can't even respect the fact that he had to manage a bad front wing. A Hamilton in his shoes would probably have retired! You should doff your hat to the superior racing strategy that was deployed! He had to charge up the field not once but twice!! Any other driver would have given up after the 1st setback

This Austin track is A+ maybe Bernie knows what he is doing afterall. Potential for early crashes though! Track looks like a roller coaster in an amusement park. Would be interesting to see how the tires handle the slightly cooler clime as well

Its a possibility but I would think not. It would have been smarter for them to leave him at his current position and use him to back the other drivers up so Alonso can make up places.

Alonso makes up two grid spots without rolling a wheel, and passes his team mate in the paddock. Why Massa signed up for more of this abuse is a wonder, but it makes sense for the great Fernando, whose Q3 performance stunk up the place, 1.5s off pole. Good luck to Fernando - he'll need it, he just moved the crash dummies Grosjean and Maldonado to the slick side of the track, in the two left positions next to and behind him. Could be an ugly blind turn one, best he keeps his eyes on the left mirrors!
