It is sad there are so many reasons why Africans will always be relegated to the background. Somebody mentioned Russia and China, as if they are there for the good of the African people. The truth is that they are there for their own interests.

I will never in my conscious mind support Mugabe failure, he could have used his brain in many occasions to fight rightfully rather than fighting in a way that put his own people at risk. To be entitled to your resources requires a lot of things for it to come into place. Zimbabwe is not the only country where few white people have power over the resources, South Africa once was a worse off case yet things are gradually changing. How did they get there? They did through a common goal of accepting the whites as part of the country after the power has be handed over to the blacks. On the other hand, struggle continues. It is through gradual process of continuous fight for rights there can be equality with the white man, not through violence.  There is nothing the white understand most that intelligence, use it for them when necessary, prove it can be used to make something important and they will respect it based on that. Violence repels any intelligent individual. The best weapon is to use the brain to create something good and it's lacking in many African leaders.

Then, we have seen Asians progressing. We wonder how they are succeeding. The truth is that they put into use their brains. They create wealth for their people, embrace organizing their society through leadership that provide for the people and educating the masses. Knowledge is lacking in Africa and those who have some of it are usually castigated of imitating the white yet the world is becoming more white than any other color. Not until will stop acting as fools and find ourselves out of starting from scratch or antagonizing the modern world and organized life we are going to slowly slip further into the wall of  total failure and what many are already calling us.

Mugabe has failed his people - that's a fact! The people have failed the country - that is another fact! Zimbabwe problems can only be solved if rooms are given to many educated Zimbabweans to fight for those rightful positions(from president position to the regional leaders'). He can only remained a statesman based on fighting for independence. His service is no longer required, it is off no much use to the country at this crossroad. However,he is still beclouded by the old colonial mentality, as such, he his fighting with might.

I know at this point somebody is going  to  call me white man slave, poo or whatsoever slur word available at his or her disposal. I don't care. The truth has to be told and ignorance has to be fought - that's the only way we can get closer to becoming a formidable part of the world.

Don't bother educating this people, they are OWNED already.

GenBuhari:

Criticism without offering alternative solution, just leaves you looking like you are defending the racist white colonial masters.

Only someone with an unhealthy fixation on race would think that criticising Mugabe = defending the racist white colonial masters.

I'm open to discussing alternatives, the no1 being the conduct of free and fair elections without intimidation and violence. I have held many discussions of altenatives with my Zim network.

However, you go to Zim and find out what has happened to those who have openly offered these alternative solutions.

all4naija has offered alternative solutions and you responded by suggesting he was a white man pretending to be black. Let's stop pretending that you and the Mugabe supporters are interested in any alternative solutions.

What the hell is a free and fair election Claus?

Could you define it please without using some useless high sounding words,

If the outcome is not too the liking of some vested parties it quickly becomes unfree and fair, what utter nonsense!!!

Is it only a free and fair election when the WEST calls it so?

So if the WEST get their puppets in power and say its free and yet the AU and Non-Aligned Movement overseers say its not free and fair who will you believe?

Wont you believe those with the biggest MEGA PHONES ie CNN and BBC?

Lol Africans must learn to stop dancing to the tune of these divide and rule specialists!!!!!

These paragons of virtue who have plundered and stole their way to the top of the food chain and can only remain at the top through ever greater plunder and pillage!!

Free and fair elections are self explanatory.

Let's not delude ourselves about the elections in Zim. Thankfully some of us know the real story on the ground. I don't need CNN or BBC to explain the Zim situation to me. There are numerous stories that we have listened to from people on the ground. Perhaps these people are white colonialists as well for simply wanting to exercise their right to vote for whoever they wish.

I personally do not place much value on the West's opinions about free and fair elections in Africa. I have had a long conversation with a disillusioned (white British) election observer who has observed elections in Rwanda, Angola and some Eastern European countries.

He gave his detailed opinion on someone like Paul Kagame who is now a darling of the West. This election observer talked about how so many irregularities were glossed over or hardly reported in Rwanda just because the West like Paul Kagame.

I try to be objective, and I'm highly aware of the things that need to be corrected in our relations with the West. However, it is this same objectivity that does not allow me to put Mugabe or his words in any good light. I call it as I see it. Logic over sentiments and emotions.

All I ask my fellow Africans, is to stop blindly adopting views influenced by BBC and CNN etc.
