THANKS FOR CONFIRMING WHAT I SAID.

That your N21 billion Naira amounts to $15 million.

I asked ChatGPT AI what was CNN's annual budget:

................

CNN Annual Budget (Approximate)

About $1.8 billion per year in revenue (2026 projection)

About $600 million operating profit

So in simple terms:

CNN operates on roughly a $1.5–$2 billion annual budget scale.

- AI

So a TV network that receives $15 million a year, and one that receives $2 BILLION a year, which one do you think will look sharper and snazzier, with more steeze and swag when you watch it?
Lol.. Why can't you compare it with channels or Arise TV?

The problem with people like you is that when you think you have a point, you'll compare with US but when you feel you don't have a point you'll start condemning US and saying there are countries better than US.

Funny.

For the best in African public broadcasting look no further than SABC. CNN is too far for NTA.
Even struggling podcast bros have better equipment than NTA.

Looking at other TV stations' look, you'll spit on Nigeria Government. Everything is just so messy and embarrassing. I compared the studio with other private stations and i realized this country is gone and has no hope.
Is this not a green screen? You know what green screens are capable of doing right? You know how gullible the Nigerian crowd can be right? Please If it's not a green screen, provide us with the final production as proof biko.

MR GOVT GOVT GOVT GOVT.

FOX NEWS THAT YOU WATCH EVERYDAY TO WORSHIP TRUMP, IS IT THE US GOVT THAT OWNS IT?

CNN, IS IT AMERICAN GOVT THAT OWNS IT?

Is it not private companies?

What stops YOU from forming a consortium to start a station?

Or the guys that came together to form CNN, they have two heads, abi?

MR GOVT GOVT GOVT GOVT GOVT.
But NTA na government station now

What allocation? They get a pittance, and have always gotten a pittance. The govt simply can't afford to spend big money to make NTA what you think it should be.

Go and see how much FOX NEWS has to spend each year, and compare it to your 'NTA allocation'. You'll be embarrassed.

Abeg forget. The govt priorities are roads, schools, hospitals etc, not NTA.

Why is govt even SUPPOSED to have expertise in running a TV station??

It's really not their job.

If you want 'CNN-LEVEL', do what those who started CNN did. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH GOVT.

It's Private Sector.
What's your point here??

The NTA has refused to grow even though when they started, they had one of the best equipment in the whole of Africa, at one point the NTA has a capacity to air any program in Africa, so what are you saying??

We've so so declined as a nation that abnormal now looks very okay to us

If you are looking for a case study to understand Nigeria... Just go to NTA.

This is a station that is more than 40 years. But look at TVC, look at channels... Less than 20 years, compared them with nta
I think it’s unfair to compare a government owned company like NTA to a privately owned company like TVC or channel.

The comparison should be between NTA and other state owned stations in other countries like SABC South Africa, KBC Kenya, EBC Ethiopia, Morocco, Algeria and even Libya. These countries state owned tv stations are of international standard.

And so, I think it’s madness for some people to make excuse for the sorry state of NTA Jos studio.

I attended a wedding of a friend this Saturday and saw how beautiful the decoration especially the stage was. It cost them less than 1m to achieve that level of aesthetics. So why make excuses for NTA that gets a considerable allocation for studio renovations?

We never knew state owned companies can outshine privately owned until Ben Bruce took over NTA. We saw a different NTA that looked like CNN.

As soon as he was sacked, the station and dream died.

Oga, everyone knows about the use of green screen backgrounds in tv stations. That’s not what’s been questioned here.

The sorry state is the issue.

So because the film will be edited, it’s now an excuse to make sure the studio is an eyesore physically?

So does that justify that sort of studio??😃😃😃

No dey do like this now, we know CNN no dey deir league but NTA has been very very poor lately, that's the issue on ground

Even if them enter street, find some good wallpaper and some other interior stuff, he go still make sense small

Throwback:
You don't even need to delve deep and far.

From the budget, only N1.5b is for capital projects out of which 137m is for studio equipment for all of the state capital stations (36 NTA Stations).

That is a mockery.

Yet, just seeing the annual budget of N21.3b, Nigerians will call it a waste of funds without seeing how it sums up and how each expenditure is very out of touch with modern pricing realities.

However, some Ogas at the top will still attempt to corner something out of nothing.
NTA runs a commercial business, when last has anyone audited their revenue??

Abi Dem no dey Everly get adverts ni?

Most Nigerians have this idea that govt is where the money is at.

They are so wrong. Nigeria's annual budget is $40 billion.

But GDP is $400 billion. wink

That's the Private Sector.

Oil and gas accounts for less than 15% of GDP.

So those hundreds of billions of dollars is all private sector-generated. So the private sector is WHERE THE MONEY IS AT, if you want to form a CNN-grade network, or anything big, in fact, in Nigeria.

If you can leverage the private sector by forming a consortium with qualified people, and you can make a business case for such a station to big companies, it's BOOM TIME! Big money comes in, and you do it.

Go to America, UK etc. Virtually nothing is run by the govt. It's all private sector, from stadiums to airports to power plants to railways to TV networks.

We call ourselves a capitalist economy, yet we seem to have a communist/socialist outlook in which the FG is expected to provide everything. undecided
No be every field una go dey put mouth.

At one point the NTA had one of the best equipment in the entire Africa, na corruption kill that investment.

Even as at now, they still have enough capacity to bounce back with good and viable management but the government intentionally wants to keep them as their mouthpiece for life

Is poorly run not part of having N137m budgeted for all the 36 NTA capital stations in the country?

Is that not a valid concern for which the government must be chastised?

You want results but you don't have funding. Better wake up.

NTA don't have a funding problem, they have a value problem

No reasonable creator will want to work with NTA at this moment cos they are just government puppet

Do you know at one point these guys had the same or even better infrastructure than Dstv, even before Dstv was conceived, but they buried themselves in the pro-government deal

Do you know we have a thriving Entertainment industry that NtA can tap into, sports sef dey, business dey

But can you as a business owner choose NTA as your vehicle to reach out to your audience??

That's the major thing here

You are such a silly person. Folks like you who haven't made any meaningful contribution to the development of the country comes on social media to claim the country is finished. Yet we see the likes of Dangote, Otedola, Elumelu, Abdul Samad investing in Nigeria and creating jobs that directly affects many families positively You are the one who is finished.

Hello sir.

How do i get to work inside a radio station?
I want to work in media. Naturally am good in presenting and love it so much. I can take any other role too in the radio.

I just want to get a job inside a radio house, but I don't know how.

I work with a federal government broadcast outfit. The outfit was established in 2005. Till today, March 2026,it has not enjoyed any maintenance by the Federal government that established it. We the staff contribute money from our meager salary to buy diesel, repair the gen set just to keep the station running.

This is green for chroma keying. Where is the keyed Sethuh? People that do not understand media will not know that this is NOT the final product.

That's why I don't allow people to snap my Station's green studio. Control room will always key either with Tricaster or Unreal Engine.

Again, this is NOT the final product. This is NOT how it went on air.

I'm waiting for your answer....

Since 2005 your federal government broadcast outfit can not generate funds to fuel it's generator? undecided
did I tell you there is no money. But since you asked, let me lecture you a bit. You are not authorised to touch your revenue. You are given money weekly by the government to run the office. That money is used for minor expenses. When Jonathan was in power, we were receiving 300k weekly to run the station, Buhari came on board, we were getting 80k monthly, no longer weekly. Then since Tinubu came in till today, we have not received a dime from the government. Any money you make is sent straight to the government account thorough TSA. You are not authorised to touch it.

service or replace the transmitter, generator set, air-conditioning, broadcast equipment, furniture etc.

go to any radio station, they will audition you, if you are trainable, they will engage you and train you. If it's a government station, you will be working as contract staff pending when government starts general employment.
