What Should One Look At Before Entering Into Marriage Relationship. by pasteurdan(m): 5:06pm On Feb 13, 2012
Marriage is a crucial stage in the life of a man and a woman to be joined together as partners in every aspect of life. One cannot succeed without the support or cooperation of the other. Two are better than one, says the Good Book.
It is noteworthy that marriage is for life and for psychologically mature individuals.  The aspect of choosing a partner is the most difficult one. Many make mistake at this stage. They look at beauty and are deceived by gifts and other funny things.
At the choice stage, one should ask the following questions below:
-What are the character, the conduct, the behaviour, the attitude of this man/lady?
-Is he/she lazy, quarrelsome, abusive and disrespectful?
-What is his/her family background even the religion?
-Is he/she responsible?
One shouldn't marry for riches or for material things, neither should one rush into it.

Marriage or wedlock is captured in the following poem like this:

''Enter into marriage with courage – but with caution.
Take time to do – that which time cannot undo.
Think well before you tie – what you cannot untie.
Wedlock is a padlock.
A padlock is a very useful thing to preserve treasure.
But it is terrible to be locked into a marriage much disliked.
Tarry, tarry, tarry! Think again before you marry.
One might push this tarrying too far, but we seldom meet with such a case.
Most rush at matrimony – like a dog at a piece of meat.Today married - tomorrow harried!
The frogs in Aesop's fable were extremely wise:
They greatly needed some water, but they would not leap into the well
Because they knew they could not get out again.
He who marries a simpleton – is a simpleton!
He did not use sufficient discretion and discernment.
However, simpleton or no simpleton – he is in for it for life, and must bear the consequences!
One who marries for beauty alone is as foolish as the man who ate a bird because it sang so sweetly.
Don't be fooled by pretty face; look for character and grace.
Blessed is the one who can say, after many years: ''I did commit no act of folly when I married my sweet Molly.''
May God help you to choose prudently!

You consider compatibility, love, family background and then the financial aspect therefrom. He doesn't have to be too affluent but at least can afford to take care of the family.

As a lady, a good indicator of how a man will treat you is how he treats his sisters. If he respects and appreciates them, you're likely to be as well.
