Daginger: i believe this is all wrong. a newly admitted student should at this stage be thinking about settln down first, prepare for a new world of complex learning and dreaming of achieving gr8 goals by him/herself, before identifing a possible beneficial group/association[one that wont compromise your grades, name and life] to join. i am a freasher here in uniben. but from my experience in ekp, i believe wat is right is to start thinking of how to start our lives first rather than joining any association now.

Makzino: In every great idea there are always pessimist and those always there to criticise,nevertheless,everyone has a point,but lets not let da negativity in our tots make others lose interest,we are all entitled to our opinion,but if u do have one,voice it out to da organiser of the group,like a film manager hires critics to tell him where he flawed in his movie,they do it personally not to the general public,cos what u say has impact and might have diverted da passion of sum1 else, i totally support da group,helping with da entertainment part of da group mainly dancing,school is not all bout books my friend,*all work and no play makes fatimah a dull girl* no be only jack,this is an avenue for interaction,friendship,information,and a total display of talent,why cant we just come together and have fun,if u know what ur doing,this will never affect ur intension of being a first class student,but rather give u more information bout life after school and totally being an independent individual,and also friendship for posterity sake,life is a whole lot more than schooling,but every day of ur life u keep learning,i have reserved all ma comments and watch u all fight over sumtin so reasonable that u have to give metaphysist an award for such an idea,but like he said critics makes it stronger,but also weaker,lets not kill the dream even b4 its inauguration,but work together to make it work.. U guys primary focus should be aw 2 excel academically in uniben, even dose dt r nt member of any association or church workers r finding it difficult to cope wit d academic stress of uniben, den u. Guys freshmen r tinkin of forming an association! It may intrest u 2 no dat only departmental, socio-cultural, faculty, church n the SUG r d recognised associations in skul! Any oda form of gatherin in d auspice of any association which do nt fall in d group of d aforementioned grouped wud b regarded as xoxoxo group n any member of such association cud b rusticated! Incase u dnt no all departmental, socio-cultural, faculty associations r registered every session!

Dis is 2 encourage us 2 work in unity bcuz mor is achieved wen gud pple work 2geda.Look at d anthill,no single ant cn build it alone,bt wen dey come 2geda dey build smtin dat is taller dan a man.

I am in total support of this proposed association. Moreover,it is one thing to have a plan it is another thing to see it come to pass and be successful. obago: I am in support of the Elites association because of its aims but my education and God 1st b4 any other thing. As they say "ignorance is a disease", it kills mostly the so-called "WISEMEN". I arrived Benin (Ekosodin) yesterday and i was opportuned to read a book by Uniben titled 'STUDENT HANDBOOK OF INFORMATION' 2011/12 edition. On page 34, I read about associations in Uniben and general regulation. Some regulations were (1) All student organisations must be registered through the student affairs division....
(2) No club,association or society is officially registered unless its members have been interviewed and thoroughly screened.
These are just few of the regulations in the book,there are many strict procedures to follow b4 an association can be registered in Uniben. We are going to know more things about Uniben during clearance,some books will also be sold to us to enlighten us about Uniben and we will get to know the do's and don't. Don't do things that will ruin your career and life. Knowledge is power. I wonder where you are going to have time to form an association,won't u attend lectures and do ur assignments. I am not against your so-called EYA, It is gud to dream big but we should be careful about the dreams we have. As a fresher in the FACULTY OF LAW my aims are- (1) to attend lectures and do my assigments (2) visit the libraries (3) attend Church and get some rest when i am free, Other things will come after the aforementioned aims. Don't destroy the dreams of your fellow freshers by forming an association that you can hardly control. Will you people have the time,finances and support? Let me reserve my comment for another day but b4 i go i will like METAPHYCIST to answer this questions (1) How many associations have you headed before?
