Looking at the recent situation in the English Premier League, three managers have already parted with their team and this is still the beginning. Do you think sacking the manager is the only way to solve team's poor perfomance.

Mourinho left Chelsea earlier, Sammy Lee of Bolton followed now is the turn of Martin Jol of tottenham

what did u expect, that they are being paid to sit down and watch matches for free? Anyone can do that. The managers are meant to watch each player and see who fits into his winning strategies, buy the right players

some managers turn an average team into world beaters like JM with porto. While some turn a good team into a better side in all managers are sometimes responsible for the teams performance. he makes the decisions. and in martin jol's case he his responsible for the teams performance. spurs should have broken the monopoly of liverpool, arsenal, man u, chelsea for CL position. in his own case he is responsible for the team's poor performance.

A manager is fully responsible for the results a team achieves e.g Ottmar Hitzfeld took a mediocre Dortmund to win the UCL though he had fantastic players he had to instill

the discipline in them and the mentality, Same with Mourinho in Porto. And some coaches inherit a good team and destroy it e.g Claudio Ranieri the Tinkerman took over a

Valencia team from Benitez that had just won the La Liga and UEFA cup and were raring to go the following season. With Ranieri, they crashed out of the group stage of the

UCL, and struggled with the team until he was sacked.

A coach can make or break a team with the decisions he makes and the buys he makes.

Thomas Doll was coach of Hamburg last season and they were losing home and in Europe until he was sacked and replaced with Huub Stevens and the team started a

winning streak that saw them qualifying for the UEFA cup.
