biblically speaking,and more especially per new testament,God doesnt not do such things to his children.because jesus bore the judgments of God on calvary.by so doing he met the claims of divine justice. satan is the one who comes but to steal,kill and destroy. or our personal sins will open a door for satan to steal from us.also hosea says that the lack of knowledge will destroy us.
all this to say that God doesnt humble you.he humbled jesus for you.

9 No one can escape the blazing anger of the Lord. 10 When he sends lightning, no one can keep from trembling; and when it thunders, everyone is afraid. 11 When the Lord makes his threats, no one can keep from falling to the ground in his presence. 12 The foundations of the earth tremble. There is violent churning in the deepest part of the sea. you are quoting scriptures that were written before jesus shed his precious blood. God doesn't deal with the believer in the new covenant the way he dealt with israel in the ot.

we have a more excellent covenant today.
