Not until u see the word self-service or mastubation in the bible b4 u know is ungodly. The most import thing about Christianity is accepting that something is wrong and go ahead to ask God to help u solve it. When u have men who claime to be preaching God having defiant attitude of not humbly accepting an action to be wrong, then something is wrong. U choose whether u want to follow some mortal man xris or Jesus. Jesus says the lustful looking of a woman is adultry. Adultry is not only sleeping with a woman. I read this thread and really it's funny how the shepherds used repression to wash heads and profit. The philosophy of repression and fear ... The worst part is that most pastors giving sermons on the "sin of sex" have sex with women in the church, and in many cases innocent children .... Self service is a sin.As a christhan we need to be tought by the words of God(bible) and the holy spirit a promised to all christian.That show the diffrences between christian and non-christian, both Christians and non-christians can read the bible but interpretation may not be the same.Jesus faith and that of the Jews are diffrent.Jesus was filled with holy spirt and he has full knoledge of scripture but the Jews based their faith on what they read.They killed many innocent people thinking they are doing the work of God.with the help of holy spirit Jesus sees beyond Jews,that was while he can explain better that lust after a woman is a sin and many more, even though it was not written like that in the Jews scripture If you are are a real christian you do not need to be told that self service is a sin before you know for the spirt of God is saying it to your heart weither it is good or bad or how do you fill after mastubating,happy or sad? Also Christians must know that our flesh is part of our enemy.We must not grant him every thing he demand of us. Someone mentioned spilling of seeds (self service, withdrawal, etc) as sin. If that is the case, regardless of being married or not, is the use of contraceptives a sin? with the advice from medical experts on family planning, isn't that contrary to our faith as christians? To me, it is not a sin. During child birth, Is blood transfusion a sin? |

If its not a sin on medical ground ,it's shouldn't be sin for any other reason. But that doesn't take the fact away that it is a problem to be dealt with .its not a decent habit. |

from all these, i think Pastor Chris gave the best answer to this issue. the act in itself is not a sin but the mindset during the act or the reason for the act determines if it is a sin or not. what other answer could be better than this? i understand with people who condemn is outrigthly because they know and think that it is impossible to indulge in self service without thinking of the opposite sex, which most times is not the individuals wife. but i think people should stop being too extreme on the issue, and learn to diffrenciate between the act and the thougth before the act |
