After all, isn't each human being valuable as a work of the Creator and irreplaceable as an individual, while copies of a book that exists in plentiful copies are obviously more expendable? That's obvious, but it depends upon the assumption that human life is valuable in the first place, while in the Islamic schema, Allah creates some people only to torture them in hellfire (cf. Qur'an 32:13) and directs believers to murder those who don't believe in him (cf. Qur'an 2:190-193; 4:89; 9:5). Clearly human life is not as important in Islam as it is in Judaism and Christianity, in which each person is a unique being made in the image of God.

Even looking at Frosbel's post, I don't think the writer set-out to paint Islam 'black'. He is just biased based on the prejudices that his American society has placed on him. The Qur'an is God's word and an attack on it is an affront to the Sovereignty of God. Muslims being true servants of God will not tolerate its desecration. Whilst God will deal with such people no doubt, it is imperative for Muslims to object.

There have been strong reservations expressed by the Afghans (both government and individuals) over the killings by the Yank. However, no amount of protests will bring those dead people back (although I hate to think what their families feel). If the Americans try to give a soft landing to 'their boy' expect bigger protests.
