Lagos was named for Lago de Curamo, a city in Portugal, in the 15th century. The city (Lagos/Eko) bore certain similarities with its Portugese twin hence was named for that reason. On the other hand, Ubinu (Bini) royals name this same area Eko, their name for farmland as the area was used for that purpose by Bini royals. 2 Likes |
