Yes i have seen people call thier mums aunty...they do so cos some woman had a maid which always call them Aunty and from there their children picks it up...i have a couple though..What about me and my siblings...we all call my my mother Mma m ...meaning my personal mum..we do so cos she gives each an everyone one of us a special treatment.... 1 Like |

She was d 1st daughter of her parent n everyone calls her Anty, same name followed her 2 her husband home. Eventually, all her children grew up calling her Anty. So, I call my mum ANTY (Aunty)! Ur impression here does nt matter. 2 Likes |

I call my mother, aunty. I grew up hearing people around her call her that, so it stuck. I tried, calling her mummy at age 13, but it sounded awkward in my ears, so i stopped, and continued calling her aunty, till this day. Strange sha!!! 1 Like |

I call her "Mummy" naturally (never "mum" ) . There are times when I may call her by her trad title "Lolo". My younger sisters frequently call her by her name " Daa Virgy" (in English, "Aunty Virgy" ). |
