hi NL,am currently contemplating on buyin a vw jetta (the one dat look lik bora)i was informed that the fuel economy is extremely superb....now am wondering wat are d pit falls of this car....wud u advice me to buy it |

The safety is not bad at all, imagine it comes with rear and front head airbag . . . a 2001 ride, that is not bad at all. The only thing you might have to deal with: Failures of the Timing Belt and Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor ( 4 cylinder engines only), The Ignition Power Stage (1.8L engine only), The Intake Manifold Air Induction Passages (1.9L engine only), The Water Pump, gasoline engines only. Problems with the Water Pump can result in engine overheating. Please note that i dont know it all . . . but i am sure more will be said by the experts Good luck |
