Every car owner flaunt his or her car keys even if there are 50 keys on one holder, the car key
Remains pointed at people during conversation. I noticed that not only in nigeria but even worse
here in Ieland. Am not trying to be egotistic but i own an X6 with a beautiful remote key yet
I always adumbrate my key when not in need of it. This morning morning a guy came to my office with a honda
key in his hand talking and pointing at me, not knowing my car can buy 5 of his ivtec. Wat is the exact
antecedent behind this?

Well in this part of the world, we adore and respect car owners particularly those with clean and sophisticated rides. Now, when a man is aware that you would respect him more if he flaunts his car key, why wouldn't he. Let me just let you know that.....

NAAA I DONT THINK ITS BECOS OF THE ATTENTION, I ONCE LOST MY CAR KEY WEN I SLIPPED IT IN MY POCKET DUNNO WHERE OR WHEN IT FELL OUT. I DO IT COS I DONT WANT IT TO GET LOST AGAIN AND I DONT USE IT TO POINT, I JUST HOLD IT FIRMLY THATS ALL.

Well for me I hold on to my car key and this' not for pride. most of my pockets are now torn because I carry a big bunch of keys. I think the best place to keep it is to hold it. But for those pointing with it, they do so without knowing.

its no crime to flaunt what u ve gat, man. . D same reason y majority prefar holding their xpensiv phones on their hand, instead of putting it inside their pocket!

i think most people flaunt it unknowingly

.........it is not only car key that some people flaunt. They flaunt mobile phones, wrist watches, jewelries, any material things they believe can boost their status. In 1997, I saw a man who sat in front of his house smoking for about 40 minutes with 2 bales of naira notes beside him. Obviously, his motive was to send a message to anybody that passes by that he's a big boy forgetting that he risks being attacked by robbers or social miscreants. Stupid act you would say.

In my own opinion, I think the more money you earn, the humbler you should become. When you are wealthy and powerful, don't show it to the world. Let them investigate and discover your worth themselves and you will see how much they will adore and respect you.

Op, i think some people do it unconsciously! I used to hand-held my car keys. I stopped when i realized it would be as though am showing-off.
Therefore, I've learnt to keep them in my pocket and I'm accustomed to it now.

I was once a victim of flashing watches until bigger boiz came and robbed me off it.

is it possible that people just do certain things out of convenience or force of habit, for instance like holding their keys (regardless of if it is a car key or a house key)or phones? Just a thought. By the way, i do not do either
