Good morning pals...I have a small issue bordering me I grew up in owerri and schooled in Abia state and will be serving this July like everyone of you, but I have the chance of serving in IMSU in owerri here, but I dont want to serve in Owerri cos I grew up here . What do you guys think Serving here or South South(which I intend redeployin to if am not posted there)...thanks... Although I intend traveling out by September next year for masters.

answer these questions sincerely... Whats ur sole aim of serving, what do u want to accomplish with ur service yr? Is it to... 1) expand ur social horizon, meet & interact with new people and culture, tour new places or...2) make money, save up money for ur M.sc, establish a possible background for a future job?
If #1 is ur answer, then u need to move out of ur present zone, get to the s/s, s/w or N/central... If #2 is ur answer, then stick to ur imsu plan, it looks more solid.

...My advice

If the imsu plan is authentic, i'd advice u to go on wit it. I also grew up in abia, and schooled at anambra. My destination is imo for some reasons close to #2 above. I'v got some smal biz going down here in the east, and i cant aford the luxury of abandoning it to go and grove for just a yr. Remember, life continues after Nysc.
Finally, in all equations u're tryin to figure out, make God the subject of the formula for solving the equation, everyother variable will fall into place.
Thats my litle contribution, i hope my submition helps u make that final decision.

it's a long 20-odd days to when we will be receiving our various call-up letters... now each day seems to have 48 hours to me. i think it's because i hardly go anywhere.. i mean most of my peeps are far away so, i do a lot of staying at home. mom doesnt like me going adventurous either, like just seeing the sights and entreating myself to some sweet-tooth sins along the way... everyone claims insecurity and BH biz are the odds against having a good time where i live.
but for my mini laptop and fast glo netpro connection that affords me quality time on my fave thread on NL, kai!!!!!! boredom for don kill me by now ooooooooooo!!!
