nuclearboy: NOI is pathetic!

There's a budget of 245Billion. You are finance minister PLUS supposedly, you co-ordinate the entire economy and everyone must work with you!

Yet the cost gets to 245B and surpasses it and you keep quiet! It becomes 400% of that and you still keep quiet! Today we know it got to 2.7Trillion of which 1.7 was fraud! Yet the best this "prime minister" econoic "expert" could do was to hide the truth and decide that the best solution was worsen the economy by overloading the man on the street!

She should be ashamed of herself and be the first to go, not even DAM who always was a mediocre anyway!

Yet supposedly educated people are here trying to convince of her innocence forgetting that if she is innocent, that also suggests she is of low IQ and probably cheated to get the degrees.

Wole Soyinka got a 3rd class but in the real world got a Nobel! She has all these degrees & certifications yet allowed a 245billion budget to get to 2.7trillion! So what's the "real" value of her "education"? Trick or treat?

Mr Man, listen to yourself first.

Somebody just reminded us here that Okonjo-Iweala resumed as
minister in September 2011. She did not resume with the other
ministers because she had to resign and handover properly at the
World Bank - her former employer.

Besides, do you think civil service/govt ministries is a place you
get information in a snap the fingers?

What majic did you expect her to perform with just three months to end of 2011?

Just some corrections.

* According to the Minister herself, she resumed office in August of 2011.

* Actually, Ministries are NUMBER ONE POINT for getting information on most anything in Nigeria. I don't know if you have ever tried it but go down to get information on, say schools, and you are immediately directed to the Ministry as the best bet for most accurate of all information available. That is why people are happy that FOI is finally available.

* The ministers are not expected to do magic, they are simply expected to do their jobs, and do it effectively. That is why we pay more than pay half of our yearly budget to these Government offices. They have access to all the tools necessary to get them doing their job effectively. In cases where they do not, they have the funds to purchase said tools(note the complaint is not a lack of tools but I just felt to throw that in there to give you an idea of how effectively they could do their jobs for you). In this case, that is not what happened and Nigerians lost millions of dollars as a result.
