Some people are getting carried away.

Last season TT garnered 38 points in 19 league games. Over a full season, that would have been 76 points, nowhere near league title contention. Because we used defensive strategy to win UCL, some people got confused with raised expectations. Winning league and winning tournament are two different things oh. Last season big teams were adjusting to our style, we even used Billy Gilmour to beat them and Liverpool last year. It was not about having players on the level of other big teams, it was us using a style that was effective against big teams. That does not mean they will not learn and adapt and return to normal where player quality will make the difference. We never had the players to compete at the top. Same way Conte surprised everyone with formation change and won with the likes of Moses, Luiz, Alonso, Cahill, till other managers caught up.
