He is better at defending spaces than J5, while also being able to be tidy with the ball to help control the midfield. Passes forward more often, and is good at beating the press. Has a decent half turn too. I'm wary of using this word, but he's also quite versatile and can play both DM and CM.

My preference would've been a true DM like Rice or Bissouma, but that's no longer likely and we have a parade of CMs already.

Cucurella is a good player but not a classy one. I can't even recall one decent cross from Kuku last season. These are just players that disturb down the line with their pace but don't have the touch of class in their final product. Perisic is someone that plant cross on strikers head from unimaginable angles with both feet and even the outside of his foot. Watch out for his headers at the back post as well. He's a beast in the air.

imagine using thiago (Liverpool) as a DM is what De Jong looks like. If u think Jorginho is a fraud wait make De Jong show first. This isn't Holland or small teams in Spain. See wetin dem do Saul last season.

Jorginho's main issue was when Chelsea didn't have the ball, what do you think De Jong main issue is in Barcelona , even with De Jong energy dude can't even help busquet defensively.

I just see it that Tuchel wants more creativity so he is going for de Jong, especially with Kovacic and Kante's injury. Jorginho doesn't always pass the ball forward or doesn't always see where in front to pass to.

should tell u I watch la Liga, as much as I don't like Barca and the only midfielder I rate there is Pedri, to tell you De Jong and Gavi na hype. Maybe na D coaches fault for de Jong because there was a time Modric and Kross were playing poorly. And maybe if De Jong had a casemiro but you see as a DM in EPL
