Seriously you make it seem as though he is utterly useless.

He may not be athletic, but he's got his qualities. For all his 'sideways' passing, nobody in this squad can throw the occasional Hollywood pass like he can - case in point, the games against Spurs and Watford earlier this season, where he passed the ball without even looking, both passes led to goals.

He's also quite good with interceptions as his stats prove. So he's not a total dud defensively. And apart from his 'press resistance', he's one of the few in the league who can singlehandedly control the tempo of a game.

Not his biggest fan, but still give him credit where it's due.

I noticed how Well Mount & Pulisic combine on the left, making Pulisic more effective. Lamp should keep starting the 2 together.

Of all of them, Chris was the best for me. He did everything well with neatness. Everything was clean.

With his body frame he was able to pocket Aguero, Lukaku, etc. If he could pocket those guys one on one neatly, there is no one he can't pocket. He just needs to rediscover that form.

Because of his nature, he can't be a leader. The guy can't open mouth to talk, talk more of directing people.

For me, in descending order, Chris, zouma, Tomori, Rudiger. Rudiger is too slow for my liking.

You will hardly ever catch Zouma for being out of position or not covering the angle for the cross. All you can say is he looks clumsy on the ball, but TBH, that is improving under Lampard.

His first two games he made mistakes under Lampard which I put down to nervousness of trying to establish himself at a big club (his parent club) having been out of the picture since 2015. After that, he was fairly solid. His high point was the performance alongside Tomori away at Ajax. Lampard should have built on that instead of deferring to Rudiger. TBH, All these players would look a lot better without Kepa making them nervous. Apart from Rudiger, Christensen really disappointed me with his tracking of runs for West Ham second goal. I can bet Zouma will never jump over Antonio and start running toward the ball like Christensen did instead of marking the man in the box.

I don't understand Chris Ball watching these days.
