When you play ball enter Baba Gebu or Iya Elepe's compound, the woman/man will seize the ball and all of you will spend hours begging before the ball is released. grin

Monkey Nyash = when some one falls and gets a wound on his back or butt.
Goalie = goal keeper
Ekete or Basket = a bad or poor performing keeper.
Ball 2 hand = when one throws the ball and it touches another player's hand.
But the one I liked most the was #PENALRITY# it was like wow. The way we sing it when one is awarded. Lol

Four courts (when four players are in a four square courts and they play against each other without playing the ball twice. In it u could have a teammate (that will be 8 in all) or two courts will form ally.)

Lol !! funny nostalgic thread.

kayoshi: ^^ I think its called "lago"
Lheyhe: Sangalow
fermlad: requalize!!!!! grin = to equalize
fermlad: "Apere" or "otu" keeper = this keeper na basket oh
mxxpunkxx: kaka - the hard leather ball
felele - the seemingly soft rubber ball

Those were the days of raw football language , now i play ball where the "goalu kipper" is called goalie and football is called footie/soccer. SMH

Nasa : Shooting a banana (curving) shot with the inside of your boot foot (who dey use boot play those days).

Sangalo : overhead/bicycle kick

"Anywhere Belle face" - Shooting or passing with 0 accuracy

"Fa' ra bale gba si igbo" - cant write yoruba but it simply means you had all the time, you 'cooled' down and shot the ball into the bush.

'drimble' = dribble cheesy

'Health' ball still dey market ? It was about 45 naira then. grin grin

you either had the 'health' ball, felele (felenge/"obey the wind"wink or fifa . cheesy cheesy
