With enough money, hands down it is 4-Runner or Higlander. But if you still want to be a little fancy want to spend less, you go with xterra.............Xterra would have been my first choice though cause they are already built for ruggedness with a high frame but becasue I have alwasy been a toyota man, i am a little biased....cheesy

Nissan armada, pretty expensive to operate and maintain but it delivers excessively.

Toyota Highlander is top of the list. If it is well maintained secondhand or brand new. Very reliable and good resale value. Land Rover on the other hand is a beautiful junk. Unreliable and in the long run very expensive. Stick with Japanese, the produce reliability.

Lexus GX 470 for Luxury.

Your list is not complete without the HUMMER!

You can only judge what you've used except you're a driver or mechanic. But generally, I love Toyota products.

Copped a 2005 Toyota 4runner couple of months back and it's doing fine.

Not all 4wd are SUV. Abeg all this hype about Honda CR-V is overrated, its just a Compact Recreational Vehicle(http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CR-V). No body has included d all mighty Ford products (Escape, Expedition) or Range Rover or Land Rover Discovery series(they r good).

KOMBE: My brother, if you have enough money go for a fore runner or a highlander. They are built specially for Nigeria roads. If money is not enough, pathfnder or QX4 is equally good with a low cost of maintenance.

For our bumpy road in Naija, the Jeep Grand Cherokee will be my choice because of its
durability and powerful differential axle.

@Ibotex

Jeep is a brand name (e.g Jeep Grand Cherokee, Compass, Liberty ). SUV is the classification of the vehicles in that list.

Haba, these are not sporty nau except you want a thorough workout of your lower back, calves - from pumping clutch and beefy arms from the steering.

For a complete off roader I would recommend a CAT 428. Power steering, adjustable swivel seats, aircon, 360 degree visibility and when you encounter canyons along the highway just dig and fill with the back hoe.

My 2 cents.
