This thread is specifically meant to inform GT Bank internet banking users on the current phishing formats employed by spammers. This is the format of an e-mail I received yesterday morning (17/06/2012). I would like to know if several other online customers of GTB like me received this mail:

FROM: GeNS@gtbank.com
SUBJECT: CUSTOMER ALERT!

Dear Valued Customer,

Limitations has been placed on your account

proceed via attached file to automatically update your online account records.

Thank you for banking with us. It's all about your security.

Online Services
Guaranty Trust Bank.

The fascinating thing about this mail is that it employed a familiar GTBank e-mail communication medium (GeNS@gtbank.com). This leads me to the next question: Has the GTBank network been compromised? The attachment to this letter is found below; the details asked are sufficient enough to complete large withdrawals from one's account. Did any other person get this mail?

Yea i got dis same msg also,but d funniest thing is, d email it was sent to i av not open it as at d time i open my account talkless of using it for d account.beware they are phd in scamer
