Hmm... please I need help.

I have zero libido and hubby has been very patient.. it has been looooonnng... Anyways, he's changing it for me now. please what can I do? I have never been a fan of it but I want to oo.Any way out. thank you.

If you are breastfeeding it's normal. When it's now coupled with stress of taking care of a baby, chores, STRESSSSS, mbok, it is over normal.
Now, how can you remedize the situation, First and foremost, reduce the Stress cos if I say you should cancel stress from your daily routine, IT's A BIG LIE cos once you become a mother Stress becomes like a backpack. Reduce Stress by asking your husband to assist in chores, be mentally prepared to have sex with your hubby even if it means watching porn on your own (make u no go make ur oga turn to addict wth ya hand), just try and help your husband to ease himself before all these end time slayers confuse SON OF MAN.
Sometimes, I'm not in the mood but, when I remember how my hubby has been helpful in assisting with chores and allowing me to rest during the day, conscience wee not allow me to form AYAM TIRED SYNDROME cos my hubby is seriously helpful especially when he's around.

Hi all,
I am now an official member of this thread.
My breast milk is yet to come out and my baby is really hungry. I plan to do exclusive but I cannot continue to wait for breast milk. Mumsie advised
1- give baby glucose and water pending when breast milk comes out.

2- buy baby formulae and give baby pending when breast milk comes out.

Please which do u advise? Which formula do u advise?

No 2 option. But pls always put baby to your breast to suck. That way it will trigger the milk producing hormone in your body to start producing milk. Breastmilk is based on demand and supply. There has to be a demand before your body can supply. You can speed up the process by purchasing our lactation cookies rich in B-vitamins, protein and omega 3 & 6 fatty acid that will boost the QUALITY and QUANTITY of your breastmilk.
Our yummy lactation cookies contain lots of oats and flaxseed and other essential nutrients.
Oats rich in fiber, iron and protein, they contain a high concentration of SAPONINS - an immune stimulating compound that help increase levels of prolactin which is a key hormone for milk production. Flaxseed contain omega 3 and 6 fatty acid which are healthy fats that are good for mothers and protects against cardiovascular disease and also give breastmilk a nutritional booost. Omega 3 and 6 in a mother's milk is also essential for a baby's developing immune system.
Freshly baked. They contain no preservative so its best stored in the fridge.

Try not to think much about it,think of good memories with hubby.
Also try using KY gel before he penetrates,it reduces the dryness and discomfort.
Tell yourself, you will enjoy yourself and create the environment.Good luck.

Good morning mama congratulations I'm happy for you. smiley

Keep putting baby to breast let the baby keep sucking that is what I did with doctors encouragement in the hospital. You may think nothing is coming out in fact you won't see it come out but as far as baby is sucking, it means something is coming out they call it colostrum which is very good for new born babies. Call the nurses and doctors to monitor your baby to know if baby is taking in anything dont be in a hurry to give formular or glucose water yet. On the 3rd day, it should start flowing like tap grin even when baby is sleeping, try and put him to breast to suck...

Note: I'm talking from personal experience all this is what I did. smiley

ATP GUIDE

TEETHING IN CHILDREN

What is teething?
Your baby is teething when his or her first set of teeth, called primary teeth break through the gums.

When does teething typically start?
Teething usually begins around 6 months of age. But it is normal for teething to start at any time between 3 months and 12 months of age. By the time your child is about 3 years old, he or she will have all 20 primary teeth.

The lower front teeth usually come in first. Upper front teeth usually come in 1 to 2 months after the lower front teeth.

What are the symptoms?
Some babies are fussier than usual when they are teething. This may be because of soreness and swelling in the gums before a tooth comes through. These symptoms usually begin about 3 to 5 days before the tooth shows, and they disappear as soon as the tooth breaks the skin. Many babies don't seem to be affected by teething.

Babies may bite on their fingers or toys to help relieve the pressure in their gums. They may also refuse to eat and drink because their mouths hurt.

Many babies drool during teething, which can cause a rash on the chin, face, or chest.

Mild symptoms that get better usually are nothing to worry about. Call your doctor if your baby's symptoms are severe or don't get better.

PLS NOTE!!!
TEETHING does not cause fever, diarrhea, diaper rash, ill appearance or lowered resistance to infection.

CAUTION!!! Blaming teething for fevers can lead to a delayed diagnosis of ear infections, urinary tract infections, meningitis and other infections.

CAUTION!!! Blaming teething for crying can lead to a delayed diagnosis of ear infections or other causes of pain.

There are 2 reasons for the onset of infections between 6 and 12 months of age: The loss of transplacental antibodies and the developmental milestone of chewing on everything.

How can you help your baby be more comfortable while teething?
Here are some tips to help your baby feel better while teething:

Use a clean finger (or cold teething ring) to gently rub your baby's gum for about 2 minutes at a time. Many babies find this soothing, although they may protest at first.

Provide safe objects for your baby to chew on, such as teething rings.

If needed, give your baby an over-the-counter pain reliever e.g. Paracetamol that is labeled for his or her specific age. Read and follow all instructions.

Do not give aspirin to anyone younger than 20, because it has been linked to Reye syndrome, a rare but serious disease.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns against using teething gel on a baby's gums to reduce pain. The gel can make a baby's throat numb. This may cause difficulty swallowing. The medicine in the gel may also harm a baby.

The use of teething powders and mixtures are strongly discouraged.

Teething - When to Call a Doctor

Home treatment usually helps relieve minor teething symptoms such as discomfort, drooling, and irritability.

But talk to your doctor if your child has other symptoms that become severe or last longer than a couple of days.

Also, talk to your doctor about any other teething concerns, such as if your child:

Is age 18 months and has not had any teeth come in.

Has visible signs of tooth decay.

Has permanent teeth coming in before the primary teeth are lost, resulting in a double row of teeth.

Has a small jaw or a birth defect of the mouth or jaw, such as cleft palate.

Has any facial injury that has damaged a tooth or gums.

Your doctor may refer your child to a dentist who specializes in children's teething problems, if this seems to be needed.

Lilliesbud it may be breastfeeding cos I had the same issue. I The interim sassys advise is good. Also get KY jelly to help with initial penetration

Mamatwiny please give formula but keep putting your baby to breast. Once BM is established you can stop formula

Billianderson congrats in advance. That question had no answer because babies are so unpredictable amd different from each other. Just build up your savings. Congrats in advance to you and your wife

Lubrication is key!

But if you're stressed it may be a bit hard.

Get lubricant. You can ask your husband to buy it.

Pls don't starve your baby. If breastmilk isn't coming out for now, start with formula and switch to breastmilk later. Babies are different. One baby can stay for days without eating while another may not be able to handle it. Pls..
One oyibo woman didn't know her breastmilk wasn't coming out well. She wasn't aware baby was starving. The baby's brain got damaged but he lived. Though with health issues. Not your portion.

Thank you all. We were supposed to be discharged this morning but I heard the hospital doesn't discharge until baby has started breast feeding . I don't know how true this is, but I trust the hospital sha. I am only afraid of their bills grin . They are one of the best around here.

I experienced my first dose of vigilante. We didn't sleep yesternight. Baby cried and didn't sleep cos of hunger. I have been putting him to breast but nothing yet.
This morning, I noticed he shakes at times and has some strange breathing that isn't frequent. I alerted the chief matron who requested his blood sugar be checked. It was very low and doctor was informed. B4 then, hubby has been told to get glucose but when the doc came , he did some calculations and set up intravenous drip/ saline water. Some drip were also put in his mouth . Doc also noticed he had elevated temp and hubby had to put on the aircon (he is so aircon averse) Since then baby has been calm . He is sleeping at the moment though he hiccups at times. He is still on the drip.

I have been told to increase my tea and water intake for the BM.
It is well.

They came to take baby's blood for about 3 tests. Full blood count, mp and one other test. 2.5ml of blood. Hubby was shaking when the put the drip, I wonder how he would have felt when this new doc was searching for vein in the other hand and later collecting blood.

God is my strength.

If you have breastbump(manual or electric), you can also use it. Your mum or hubby can buy onugbu soup for you or even get original palmwine, hollandia plain yogurt(it works for me tho), pap with plenty milk(should be a bit watery) also take it hot, massage your breast with semi hot water and rest.
