Morning

@FloraEC

I've Neva heard of penicillin or Vaseline for cord. I only know those for circumcission.

I simply continued with the spirit for lo. The healing process is still going on
I thought so too. My grandma used pressed with timid water and used spirit too.

I dont know what to do to this my son to get him to eat. It is always a struggle whenever we are about to feed. It’s like a seasonal thing, we can go a whole month struggling with food and the next he is taking his food willingly. One sure thing however is that, i always chase him when it is meal time.
I am looking to try this August Secret food because i have heard good reviews but i still fear that he will still struggle with it. He does this with all kinds of food ranging from cereals, purees to normal food and swallow sef.
Mums please what can i do to help him eat? I play all kinds of video when it is time to eat and even sing songs but it doesnt seem to work.
He eats at creche but i have never really asked if he takes it willingly.
He has never been a big baby so his weight is just there, not underweight sha. He is 16 months.

Gud day mamas, pls i need help concerning my 13months old daughter, she doesn't put her feet firmly on any surface since birth, even wen held upright, she is not crawling yet nor standing but she sits well and play very well, hv been to three different reowned pediatrician based on recommendation in benin and warri and they all attributed it to fear after series of test and examination but I'm worried because if u trow her up she doesn't exhibit any sign of fear, and even if it fear atlest she shud be able to put her feet down wen held upright. Pls sabi mamas with experience help me.sori for d long post.

Never read anything like this here so I have no idea. I'd recommend getting an opinion from other specialists rather than just pediatricians. Maybe doctors that specialize on bones or walking related issues.

That's what I used. Immediately the cord fell off, I started using vaseline. Some people use mentholathum

Wow. 13months. Have you tried couching her to crawl. Like position her in that crawl position and move her yourself. Do this often. With time she may pick up herself.Thats how I taught my daughter. Though fear is far from her, I could she was already attempting to do those things by her self. I only guided her and encouraged her

As you refused to have shame bros decided he didn't want his mates to be laughing at him
Huhuhuhu

Angeltolly truth is, it's only in your mind. I used to think my baby will be hungry in the night. Immediately after the 2 days weaning cry (as if his life was over) he started sleeping through the night. Meanwhile he used to suck up to 10 times in the night

Ammy5565:

Looool, this was exactly my fear. Brezz was everything, pacifier, sleeping pill and all.Thats how i delayed till uncle went cold turkey on me at 1yr 10 months and 2weeks. Truth is, they adapt quickly. I don't even know when he sleeps. He just leaves the living room and goes straight to the bedroom to lie down when he is ready to go to bed, no issues at all.

My daughter is 30m and still does the same. Feeding time is a punishment, even custard/tea is war for her. She'll pack it in her mouth and be crying but she always comes back home with empty flask from school.
I believe this phase will pass one day

Ask in creche, if they can do a video it will help. My son eats well in creche but does not rate me. I've accepted my fate and I introduce new foods in school

Tanx for d suggestions, my neighbor's sister who is a matron came visiting and i complained to her, she examined her legs and noticed one knee was pointing outward and told dat could b d cause and it could be as a result of poor handling during birth as they had a similar case, she gave me a contact of a bone doctor and asked i go see him, i called to book an appointment but he said i hv to be recommended by a pediatrician, so I'm going to our pediatrician and take it from there.

Will do. So your son takes this new foods in school? Mine hardly does, they usually return it home and just give him cerelac. When he does these things, i wonder if he never gets hungry.

I guess i’ll keep trying new foods for him, maybe he’ll like one enough to take it willingly. This child has been like this since he was born, i cant wait for him to like food abeg.

Lol i have a longer epistle. I dont know why me a lazy mom will have a picky eater for a son angry. You need to see how excited he gets whenever i let him go after feeding like i have been punishing him. I understand some babies are this way sha, i just really need more patience to handle him. We’ll keep trying.
