Sad that our cities are not planned. It looks riotous. It is not difficult thing to plan cities and enforce the planning. Why do we just build our houses like this?
Individuals spends so much to build. Government must create city plan and enforce it.

Enugu looks so unplanned. In South Africa these types of shacks are called townships which is the byword for ghetto there but here we are shamelessly calling it the best city in the south east. Worse still is the lack of water in that Enugu that makes it a glorifed village because it is only in villages you see water tankers moving around to sell water. Governor Peter Mbah needs to do a lot to give Enugu a decent look even if means demolishing most of these settlements.

Those pictures above are definitely not Enugu...

One, Enugu doesn't have a rocky (stony) hill formation (check out where the guy is standing on) , another, the city in the picture is too flat down to the horizon as against the hilly nature of Enugu.

So the poster should try and note these differences before posting anything and tag it Enugu.

This is how you wawa people like living in denial. You are rejecting the pictures because it goes against the long held propaganda that Enugu was planned.

It's ridiculous. I think people just purchase land and build outside the proposed masterplan, very sad.

I heard Mba is really into construction and reconstruction of some roads in the city and I also watched a video where the completion of the abandoned International Conference Centre is being carried out...

Even though I have my reservations against this govt, the govt should try and at least get some of the things they are doing into the media to keep the people abreast.

Because as of last two years
Government failed to enforce city masterplans outskirts of enugu

Knowing full well

I wonder why Digitron is not giving us update. I saw a thread on frontpage about 11 states who can comfortably pay her workers without Federal allocation and Enugu made the list, the only state in the SE. But some states in the SE imposed tax on people doing funeral ceremony.

Their media team can do more.
