Lately I have been having a hard time downloading files as small as 7mb via my opera (although it has no trouble downloading 3-4mb files). I used Operamini 7 on a BB9000, any clues about how and what I can do to make things work better?

Download ucweb and your problem is solved. I have used ucweb to download up to 360mb once.
