Most of my Nigerian friends always say they can't marry a person if their parents don't approve of it regardless of

how much they love that person. When I asked why wouldn't they approve of it, they said mostly because that

person is not Nigerian or from their tribe.

I have a friend that always take a girl home to his mother first before deciding to date the girl after getting

his mother's opinion. I think some of this parents do this out of their selfish desire?
