My car doesn't enter into the Reverse gear when the engine is hot. All other gears work perfectly well.
What could be the reason?

Evening what can possibly make an eod 03 jerk into motion wen shifted 4rm P to D in d morning also when driving slowly it smetyms disengages from D and runs freely(as in wen accelerated the car jst revs high) one wl have to stop then restart engine, shift to P and then back to D be4 the car can move again.

Please possible cause and solution?

It happened once that the gear refused to engage after i started the car in d a.m but after 5mins i left it off nd tried again it did,i called a mechanic to look into it he plugged a scan and didn't 3ven tell me d codes it produced he just said the "gear don go,na to change am* i jst said ok but I don't believe him, Moreover it drives fine after a long while of driving with no jerks so am asking is there any possible solution to ds and has anyone faced such and how was it rectified ??

Replace your transmission fluid and clean out the shift solenoid sensor.

I use a Honda accord 2008. This night, I heard some grinding (or metal) noise from the engine bay while driving to somewhere.

I Parked and switched off the car, tried starting the car and it won't start. I got a battery, was able to start it and the noise became louder. I was able to manage it slowly to reach my house. The metal grinding noise is very loud and its coming from inside the engine. It goes higher as you accelerate the car. It sounds somewhat like "Kra_aaaa_aaaaaa"

Pls what could be the problem house?

I found one. He's charging me 25k for the work. Said he'd do a computer analysis or something

I feel I'm being duped.

What do you think could be the problem?

Look for a sticker in your glovebox. That's your radio code and simply enter it

Hello sir, pls I called in three mechanics to check the car. They all said its engine knock.
Two said it can be fixed and one said I should go and buy half and top engine instead of trying to fix it.

My question is this: can I go ahead and fix the car? I have heard stories that Honda engines are not advised to be repaired. Do I have any chance that it will work fine if its fixed?

I dont have money on me. I will draw my conclusion based on your advice. The two options I have now is to rally round and get money to fix the engine or wait till God knows when i'll get money to buy half and top engine. If its fixed and doesn't work fine, then I will loose the entire sum I may have spent fixing it.

What do u suggest sir based on ur wealth of experience with Honda cars

Just out of curiosity, what oil were you using to service this car. How long between servicing? are you certain your mechanic changed filters whenever he serviced your car?

This oil attached. I service between 4 to 4500KM. I get the filter and oil myself, so the filter was used.

Wether it can be fixed depends on the extent of the damage. This can only be known when the engine is teared down. Don't go with the idea of what they call half engine. If you must change engine buy your complete tokumbo engine, install and have rest of mind.
