koaster, i wont be surprised if u dont even know that the infrastuctural developments of zimbabwe under white rule (before mugabe in early 1980) surpuses that of several european countries.

Rubbish. The vast majority of Zimbabweans lived in penury and were peasants on their own land. The 'white areas' were well developed. The black majority lived in abject poverty, many living in shacks and mud hut villages with bush paths that led to them. Stop falling for white racist propaganda. The Zimbabwean war of independence was fought precisely because of the oppression of the black majority by a thieving, racist white leadership.

I don't see why it's hard for anyone to believe that the device was designed in Nigeria by Nigerians - it's basically a remote controlled mechanical arm on wheels. And I don't say this to discredit the engineers that designed it - it is still being developed after all, and it's a very innovative work at that. Also, it's not supposed to be a bomb 'DETECTION' device, but a bomb 'DEFUSING' device, as there is a huge difference between the two
