Funniest thing I've seen in a while. A little learning is dangerous |
![]() I remember one departmental election back in college. A certain contestant that wasn't very popular decided to buy beer for the boys to secure a gentleman's agreement that he would be voted for. Fast-forward to the D-day, the secret ballot was such that voters would write the name of their preferred candidate on a piece of paper and drop it into a nylon-bag in front of the class. The contestants were allowed to vote for themselves before leaving the class. After the votes were counted, it turned out Beer guy only got one vote-the one he dropped before leaving. It wasn't planned. Everyone felt that a few people would vote for him. Sadly, no one did. Dude cursed the hell out of us. |

Well done Fisayo If we have more people like you, Nigeria stands a chance of being great again. |
Just seeing this thread. To all who called the fight in Ngannou's favour😜 Last week, I engaged a colleague who was so sure that Ngannou would win. His logic was that Ngannou bested Fury, who is rated higher than Joshua. I told him that Fury is eccentric and likes to showboat. Again, there was nothing at stake so he may not have taken the fight seriously. Joshua on the other hand is fighting to come back and a loss to Francis will tear his already questioned reputation to shreds. I knew he would approach this like a title fight and make quick work of Ngannou. He didn't disappoint. |
Lesson to everyone; power and position are transient, wealth even, if poorly managed. From Your Excellency Ma/Honourable First Lady...etc etc to our wife. |

Frustrating!!! I'm at my wits' end. I'm expecting two very important and urgent calls. I'm fit to be tied right now. |
I feel your pain. No parent should go through this. Are you sure you've exhausted the dialogue option? For her to threaten to call the police if your wife touches her, it means she has either been beaten or threatened with bodily harm. Search yourself to see if you've done everything right by her. Investigate to know how she's been treated at home in your absence, since you're barely home with her and you've stated that she behaves when you're around. Then spend some private time alone with her...try to reach her emotionally. Every child can be reached. |

Op your Oga didn't do well but just focus on the fact that you've learnt the trade and earned your freedom. Spend the little amount you got settled with wisely. Avoid unnecessary stuff, don't dash anyone money, forget woman for now, look for the cheapest apartment you can find. Share a room if you have to so that you can invest the bulk of the money. Maintain a good relationship with your former boss, you might need to leverage on his connections and goodwill. He seems to be a good guy who got influenced by his wife. Ask God for guidance and keep grinding. You'll survive. |
