SIONKPO1:Some military laws: Discipline is a way of life. Military men do not talk out of turn. The maximum punishment for mutiny is death. The penalty for desertation in time of war is death. The soldier should have routed his grievances through the appropriate channel until it gets to Sanwo-Olu. |
I would have believed this if not for the N250k. In addition to being Speaker, he also held the following international positions: Vice President, Conference of Speakers of West African Parliaments Vice President, Global Parliamentarians on Habitat Vice President, African Region, Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Vice President, African Parliamentary Union President Conference of Speakers of West African Parliaments President, African Region, Commonwealth Parliamentary Association President, African Parliamentary Union President, African Regional Council, Global Forum for Parliamentarian on Habitat He was a Harvard grad and an elder statesman. |

I thought it was constanbulary unit that gives the police a bad name. Until the top hierarchy of the Nigerian Police Force admits that there is systemic corruption and holistically tackle it from the root, we won't hear the last of it. |

atobs4real:It's really not about benefits. It's also not about Tinubu. For a country to move forward, the citizens have to support the government and criticize constructively when the need arises. Yes, the Nigerian government has repeatedly failed the masses and it's difficult to continue to trust our leaders. But this is a new regime and the president remains there for at least 4 years, with or without any region's support. The wise thing is to collectively see how we can move the country forward and continue to call out the leaders whenever they misbehave. |

The right thing to do is proper verification and blacklisting of affected institutions. |
MatrixReloaded:The soldier rode his bike in the wrong direction on a one way road, so the governor did the right thing. Military men need to understand that a uniform and a gun doesn't put you above the law. Right is right no matter the consequences + He won't be a soft target, post governorship.

Seun:I'll help FOC. The tribal posts are embarrassing. Please vet all volunteers to ensure that they've been here long enough to get the memo and they've not posted anything tribal. |

9jaBloke:Trust some nairalanders to resort to name-calling. Avid Boxing followers know that the multiple championship titles and the various ranking bodies have resulted in an unsolid structure to the sport, making it a bit random when boxing matches are decided. Boxing is my favourite sport and I watched Iron Mike Tyson fight live. In the good days, it was more sport than commerce. Serious contenders had a go at one another and lineal/undisputed heavyweight champions emerged regularly. Sadly, this era is saddled with promoters and broadcasters who are more interested in wagers, pay per views, re-match clauses and profiteering rather than the traditional tenets of the sport. So yes, we are in a boring boxing generation where champions only get two quality fights a year, at times with relatively unknown opponents. Handlers purposely duck risky non-mandatory fights and choose easier options to the detriment of viewers. We waited aeons for Anthony Joshua & Deontay Wilder to clash when they were the two dominant forces, but that fight never happened and they were made to go through a procedure of mandatories instead. If not for Tyson Fury's brave heart and Andy Ruiz who upset Joshua, we would have been stuck in that cycle. The Boxing Ranking system is a different story. Unlike football and other sports, boxing does not have a supreme ranking body. There are five main organizations that rank fighters: The World Boxing Council (WBC), International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO), World Boxing Association (WBA) and The Ring. Of the five, the WBA and the Ring are the oldest (at over 100 years old each). I deliberately left out BoxRec and TBRB for obvious reasons. These organizations release rankings periodically and are sometimes at loggerheads. (see screenshot) To fighters now, I categorize them into Serious contenders and Decent fighters. In my experienced opinion, the lineal championship is to be decided among Olek Usyk, AJ, Fury and Deontay(never mind his recent form). The decent fighters that most of them went through to get to the top include: Dillian Whyte, Jo Parker, Derek Chisora, Kubrat Pulev, Povetkin, Andy Ruiz and King Kong Ortiz. Yes, Wallin went the 12 with Fury but that's how Fury fights sometimes. I went through his professional boxing records and the only fighter of note that he defeated is Dominic Breazeale and it took him 12 rounds and a UD. Every serious fighter knocks out Breazeale. Wallin has to go through all the decents l listed above for me to properly rate him and I'm not surprised that he didn't make the top ten in both the Ring and the WBA rankings. Now I hope you get my point on the choice of Otto Wallin and the clamour for the unification of the belts to decide a lineal champion.
