Epidemiologists believe the boy from the village of Meliandou, Guéckédou province, suffered with fever, black stools and vomiting for just four days until he died on December 6. Seven days later, his mother died too, followed by his three-year-old sister, who fell sick on Christmas Day and was dead before she could see the New Year. Guéckédou sits by the borders with both Sierra Leone and Liberia. In a region where borders are porous, it gave the Ebola virus a route into three nations where medical infrastructure is under strain at the best of times. Researchers charted the spread to nearby communities by two mourners at the funeral of the original victim's grandmother, who died January 1, and the village midwife, who died February 2, but not before infecting one of her relatives who had cared for her. But it wasn't until March that the mystery sickness was recognised as Ebola and, by that time, dozens of people had died in eight communities in Guinea and suspected cases were emerging in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Nine months after the first suspected case, described in The New England Journal of Medicine, and the West African Ebola outbreak, centred on Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, is the worst in history with nearly 1,000 victims so far. The World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Friday it is an international health emergency likely to continue spreading for months. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2721131/Was-two-year-old-boy-tiny-village-Guinea-patient-zero-Ebola-outbreak.html http://www..com/forum/showtopic.php?id=4532 |

Here's a post she shared on Facebook group - Igboville last week: “I never contacted his fluids. I checked his vitals, helped him with his food (he was too weak)…..I basically touched where his hands touched and that's the only contact. Not directly with his fluids. At a stage, he yanked off his infusion and we had blood everywhere on his bed…..but the ward maids took care of that and changed his linens with great precaution. Every patient is treated as high risk …..if it were airborne, by now wahala for dey. I still thank God. Friends, up to our uniforms n all linens were burnt off. We r on surveillance n off work till 11th. Our samples v long bn taken by WHO n so far we v been fine. For me, kudos to my hospital managt cos we work professionally wt every patient considered risk cos thats d training. Had it been it's a hospital where they manage ordinary gloves lik Govt hospital n some supporter of APC private hosp..:lol….wahala for dey o. I must also thank Lagos Govt….infact! Even fed govt sef….all been supportive. I'm good n so r the others in d hosp…..” SouthEastNigeria has since confirmed Justina was among those who attended to the Liberian Ebola patient, Mr Sawyer, in Lagos. She is currently being quarantined at Mainland hospital Yaba Lagos alongside about 40 others. This clinic is immediately after Yaba Tech. She is still alive and spoke with SEN yesterday on phone. Justina had shared this on another Igbo Facebook page earlier on. https://www./igboville/?ref=br_rs |

There's been several executions of believers, including crucifixions and the beheadings of children. The children's heads are being erected on poles in a city park according to an eyewitness who spoke with CNN. The world hasn't seen this kind of atrocity in generations" a prominent Chaldean-American businessman Mark Arabo told CNN See some of the horrific photos + images of extreme brutality by ISIS on their prisoners.
