bharkarh:This is 67,000 dollars, it's a lot of money but Charlie Monger (Warren Buffett's Friend and Partner) always say; 100,000 dollars is the benchmark to enjoy the real magic of Compound interest, however when we compare your fund to the standard of living in Nigeria. Your fund is okay. |
tosinman:You don't have any dealing with the bank. In the case of Stanbic ibtc, you are dealing with Stanbic ibtc asset management arm of operation NOT the bank, if Stanbic bank collapses, your fund is safe. Even if the custodian bank (UBA) collapses, your fund also still safe. The only type of capital type of investment that isn't safe are Commercial paper and Euro bond. |
FRANKLYex:Bros, you just copied ChatGPT and posted for us, Not everyone will understand this and you couldn't even bother to explain. Anyways in layman's language, the summary of what you posted is; people are picking Equities (stocks) over long term bonds. And as at today, the bullish equities are in the Insurance sector, it's worthy to note that the momentum is still ongoing, it also warns that if you run the type of mutual funds which the underlying asset is in equities, then congratulations but be conscious of when the momentum stops. Your capital could be at risk. |
Neurotika:Like you rightly mentioned; two types of investors. Invertors 1 — plays the long game and doesn't react to dips and rates. Investors 2 — reacts to dips because they project for themselves a certain benchmark to earning hence moves elsewhere for better yield. You correct. however, my answer to this is, Investor 1 are the real Mutual Funds investors, these are real people or targeted audience that Mutual fund investment was invented for and love to cater to. Investors 2 — These are the business/profit oriented investors who don't have the appetite for HIGH RISK, they are scared to take high risk yet they love high yield but can't take risk. More like, they want to eat their cake and have it. Mutual funds Investor 2 are part of the people that drove up the share prices of Nigeria Stocks to all time high 2 weeks ago. The rally was massive. The Nigeria stocks all share index was massive last month. What happened was: as the capital market was loosing steam and yield dropping (Tbills, MMF etc), they sensed a bullish run, then began to withdraw their money from capital market to buy those stocks to make money. My prediction is: Watch out, the next MPC is in September. If CBN still hold MPR more people will leave the capital market and the very moment stocks begin to correct itself, and foreign investors begin to pull out (around Christmas), they will all rush back to come and join us to drag low yield in the capital market. Anothet thing is, There is usually inflation around December due to over spending and people sending money back home from abroad, let's see if MPR will be increased. |
This is not true. Most Nigerians earn above that. |
monikulapo:Frankly, in the world of Equities. It's not worth deeping your toes into dividend paying stocks if you don't have the financial muscle. And I mean huge financial muscle. Billionaires that buys so much of it and measures thier worth with it are not fools. But for growth S&P 500 and ETFs, you don't need too much money. Please DYOR on hedge fund. But I can tell you Hedge fund is why Trust Fund is possible and properly managed and it's the same reason it's called "old money" wealth because it get passed down from generation to generation. |
monikulapo:Go on Bamboo. Go and buy dividend payinging ETFs or growth S&P500 stocks. That way, you killing 3 birds with 1 stone. 1 - you hedging against Nigeria inflation 2 - You hedging against forex exchange 3 - You enjoying dividend. Bonus point - Keep compounding and you won't be broke for life. Even your children will inherit and keep earning your dividends after you pass on. An alternative If you have real money; not the kind of chicken change I have oooo. I mean real money (Block money), the kind money that when you deposit it in a bank, Branch manager or regional manager will be calling to check in on you, sending your account statements through a gorgeous female bank staff to your house. That kind money — I will suggest you hand the money to hedge fund manager, go home to sleep and stop dragging MMF rates with us lol |
Polchiz:As regards this your fear, I see that some other persons here has replied well to your concern but I feel the need to educate you simplistically so you can educate others in your circle or offline. MMF, regardless of the (brand/bank name) is a pool of investors that an asset management (brand/bank), collect their all their money to invest in low risk investment mostly Government Tbills, fixed deposits and commercial paper. Note—Commercial paper isn't entirely low risk, which is why the least allocation of funds goes to it. And most fund are usually allocated to Tbills. Enter Tbills.Tbills or Treasury bills is government way of issuing promisory note to collect money and pay back shortly within a year. Government can never default or go penniless broke to pay back and in worst case scenario, they will print money to payback debt. The only way you won't get your money back is if Nigeria ceases to exist. (Shout out to Trump and Putin massive number of Nuclear war head), those can really wipe out a country. Now the reason why rates fluctuate is because of MPR & Inflation rate (Assignment: go learn the full meaning of MPR and submit your assignment here.) Anyways, MPR in one word means Interest rate, so what happens is; If Nigeria inflation number is high, CBN will increase MPR and Increase Tbills yield to force inflation to come down. This is what has been happening since last Quarter of 2024 till now. So, when Tbills yield is up, MMF rates will shoot up too because the buck of money invested in MMF is in Tbills. Then you will begin to smile like Dangote lol What CBN is essentially doing is mopping up and raking in excessive money in circulation. People like me and your will rush to invest in Tbills or MMF for high yield gain but CBN motive is to get rid of our money in circulation. So back to now: MMF interest is failing, what is happening? What happened was: Following the last MPC, CBN began to maintain the same MPR for banks, they rebased our inflation from 2009 to 2014 first and secondly rebased our GDP to 2019. Drum roll ... Ghen,Ghen, Ghen, Ghen..., suddenly inflation numbers began to fall since the second quarter of this year. Investors like us saw it coming, this was why I made a comment post here in the past two thread page before this one, that MMF rates will soon cool down, a couple of guys type jargon at me but I was smiling offline reading their replies. Anyways, what is happening is Inflation numbers are cooling down, CBN is starting to reduce yield on Tbills, hence MMF rates will reduce too. Thanks to Cardoso Aka Cardi-B. Why did I take my time to type this much? I just wanted you to understand that this is normal and this happens in circle, you only being aware of it now because your MMF investment is teethered to the health of the economy and inflation numbers just like the performance of altcoins is anchored to Bitcoin. Don't panic, Don't pull your money from fund manager 1 to fund manager 2 because they are all experiencing the same shift and transition in the economy. What you should focus instead is the 9th wonder of the world which Albert Einstein called, Compound interest on your MMF. Peace out. |
Chescowrites:MMF is safer than this investment option you pitching to Mr Tolu. Mr Tolu, Stick with MMF for your sure capital preservation first, before talking or considering interest rate /dividends. That's the secret of preserving wealth. |
Like I earlier analyzed folks. Expect more reduction as Tbill rates reduces and inflation numbers fall.
|
Tolu2024:Expect more reduction as Nigeria inflation numbers are coming down, the economy has been stable since the start of the second quarter of this year. FX is stable. Dangote and NNPC are reducing fuel price everyday and the last shocker: People in capital market are slowly moving money to equities, commercial paper and ETFs. All you have to do is wait as you in a safe investment space. BE HAPPY, Nigeria is getting better lol. |
Oshimen should just relax till January and leave Napoli as free agent so Napoli won't get a dime from his exit of the club. |
First, take her to the hospital for checkup to get documented proof forceful entry was done down there. Take the clothe she wore that day if it's blood stained as evidence too. It's gonna be long ride as you can't fight the man directly, what you will do is smear campaign — how? First, report to Naptip with proof. Second, report to women affair with proof. Thirdly, pay influencers/bloggers to post the news out there and hope VDM picks on the news and get justice for you. If he doesn't, Send all your proof to kokopee or VDM brother to help send the case to VDM. That's because VDM's DM is choked up. Do anything to blow the case open and destroy the reputation of the man, possibly making him lose his job, that same job he used as leverage to take advantage of your cousin. This is the only way you can fight him NOT physically and don't go to the police or court by yourself without the help of those Agencies aforementioned or VDM. You will lose because he is well connected and richer than you. |
In this particular order: Socrates (Western Education and ushered in the era of critical thinking for human civilization) Sir Isaac Newton ( The man who always invented his own equation to solve physical problems) Albert Einstein ( You just need to love this guy's brain for perfecting Newton's work) Friz Haber (The German scientist that was a Nazi but without his invention of fertilizer, there would have been persistent famine and food drought and no way to preserve food) Herbert Hitler - (Guy literally ushered in new ways of fighting wars and if he hadn't started WW2, The world world wouldn't have taken shape and advanced in science and technology with the fast paced speed it did since the beginning of the war till today. WW2 practically shaped the stability and advancement of today's world) |
doyin01:Figuratively, my comment was directed to the volitility market reality of NOW, Not price action in the future or past but reality of NOW! Sure the next minute, a whale or institution buyer might begin to purchase lots of BTC to cause a reversal but that will be a new reality of that moment. Stop trying to twist my words to seem smart waiting for a most deserving nobel prize. |
GRACEGLORY:Just so you know, I'm still in the market. I never left. |
BTC dey bleed, House just quiet. Bearish season will humble you. |
My babe that year for UNIBEN. |
It's a dust to dust situation. Human is a product of stardust left from the crucibles of the stars in the earliest beginning of the Universe formation. And when human die, given enough time, every skin, cells, bones would decay and turn to dust. Let me blow your mind if you are still reading this. If you are alive today and you breathe and drink water; chances are you are taking in the exact moles (through water, air or sweat) that had passed through most dead people that ever existed including your great great grand father down to your favorite dead celebrity, down to your ex or lover who is still alive. Why is that? Because it can never be destroyed and new once can never be created. I wish you can understand what I just type up there because it's mind bending to understand but if you do, you will be mysteriously scared. |
I only came on here to say, this write up was done using ChatGPT or Gemini AI. I use AI for work so I can tell when I read one. |

kart042000:my advice to you is just enter a trade when the market is 1 or 2% up, throw your usdt in it with a minimum of 3x and have patience like you trading long term stocks. Below is a picture of the example of what I had just explained to you. I am actively doing what I just preached to you.
|
Heroclitus:in all honesty, I am not in best position to advice you on this matter as I don't really have convincing insights on what copy trading is. I only speak or advise on what I know and what I have done my due diligence on; Copy trading is not one of them. And it would be unfair to advise you blindly just to want to sound intelligent at the expense of you losing money. Do you own research sir. |
Funny enough, I tried this first time ever last weekend. It came out nice but my pot was burnt. |
Alexas58:That must be one baddazz strategy you have there man. Salute to you brotherly. In my book, Shorting is riskier than longing but your killing it softly. Well done. |
Alexas58:In the short run true but in the long run, not true — because if one isn't as smart as you to quickly cut their losses, that person will quickly lose all their portfolio trading shitcoins. With Btc, you have the chance to plan your trade eventhough things don't go as planned sometimes but it does most times. Personally, If I make losses in shitcoins, I use BTC to recoup with good strategy. Remember when BTC sneezes, shitcoins catches a cold. |
sweetveek:something happened lately which the whole world is slowly to realize. Since Trump latest tariff and U.S massive support for cryptocurrency. Trump aim to weaken the U.S dollar to bring manufacturing market back to America unknownly or surprisingly resulted to Bitcoin divorcing from the US dollar and now recognize as a divergent currency on it's own (something like gold, which you could save your money in), that's why lots of institutions especially BlackRock and U.S banks are rushing to buy Bitcoin. They are the once causing this bull run pumping. |
bellocity:On the 8hour candle, it's trending up with good momentum. Hold but don't be greedy.
|
Alexas58:No wahala boss. I admire your courage. |
Alexas58:Boss you get money oooooo See as money dey waste faah I been telling you say, I go update you on when to short this coin. apparently, according to my analysis, this coin no be coin whey person go short now. Na why I no update you. Cut your loss bros.

Techie25:Rule number one — Always use less leverage not more 1-5 leverage Rule number two - Never wait on hope because hope is the last to die. When a trade is not going your way. Confirm the true direction of the trade using "15 min" candle and pull out. No matter what type of candle you using to trade, once the 15 minute candle shows a new direction/pattern, End that trade and take out your money. I wish you what I wish myself - Goodluck. |
