lolawilliams:He helped them win two rings so that's normal, but watch his actions not his words. There was a power tussle somewhere and the age of Wade and Bosh made it easy to decide on bolting. It would have been impossible to pay Wade, Bosh, LeBron and Whiteside. The Heat were drowning in luxury taxes then Forget all those sentiments. LeBron is a very calculating ninja. He wants rings but he also needs love and wants to be in control wherever he is. With the Cavs he is second only to the owner. He can get a coach hired and fired. Determine what he wants to earn. So much power sorta like Kobe with the Lakers lolawilliams:Exactly! And that is easier to do with an owner you have by the balls and is willing to spend spend spend Do you think Tristan would have gotten that deal if he didn't share the same agent with LeBron? Your guess is as good as mine The Kings won't trade Cousins for Love. Not going to happen |
lolawilliams:Lmaooo. That's what I'm talking about. Some of the all-time albums didn't sell a lot People too like bubble gum rap right from time |
omotayos01:With the way our players take dey injure that shouldn't be a problem. I'm guessing you are talking about Hojbjerg. He would most likely be sold. The buzz around the boy is serious. I hope he doesn't wind up a flop but with the likes of Madrid and Barca still in existence not forgetting EPL clubs we have to do the odd spending especially when it can potentially resolve a long term issue. omotayos01:Really if that was the best defender in Italy then Baresi must be weeping. His strength is mostly his physicality and occasional aerial prowess I can't point to any other aspect of defending he excels at He can't build up play from the back like Javi or Boateng can. His anticipation and reaction is always suspect. I would have said we hold on to him and see how he fares under Carlo but he is always injured. We would see sha |
raumdeuter:The decline of players on the wrong side of 30 is usually steep and brutal. Plus this is the 2nd straight year he is suffering a season ending injury with more than 2 months of the season to spare Nobody is going to buy Ribery anyway except maybe Guangzhou Evergrande. Before the Atleti game I recall how badly he played vs Juve and the first leg at Madrid. That is another instance of 1 good game in 3 but how many starts now compare to Goetze and see what I'm talking about |
raumdeuter:I agree but some on a shorter leash than most. The issue with Goetze is that Pep just never uses this ninja. Look at when he brought him on vs Barca last season? Vs Benfica and Atleti this year. Some players would refuse to be subbed in if they were in Goetze's shoes. Tevez did it raumdeuter:This is true. However that was more of a one off thing. International football is a different monster from club. I recall that was when the German Messi bants started. Klopp didn't run that experiment with him though raumdeuter:I have a very simple philosophy. When you want something to work you find a way if you don't want to you find an excuse. Depending on the opposition I don't see why there aren't matches Mueller can be rested and Goetze started in his place. raumdeuter:That is true but that is where rotation comes in. Also we should be phasing out Robbery in an aggressive way. I only arrange them in Bayern formations for old time sake, especially Ribery raumdeuter:Lahm----Boateng---Hummels----Alaba -------Alonso-----Vidal----- Mueller---Goetze-----Costa ------Lewandowski---- ------ Lahm----Boateng---Hummels----Alaba -------Javi-----Vidal----- Robben---Goetze-----Costa ------Mueller------ Lahm----Javi---Hummels----Alaba -------Thiago---Vidal----- Coman/Robben--Mueller-----Goetze ------Lewandowski---- raumdeuter:I can't say for sure. Low tried some funny moves at the last World Cup. Remember Mustafi at RB, Still the situation for Germany is much better. He at least got a second chance which Pep never gave him. |
nitlad:Walahi I was wondering what took you so long. I don't recall arguing he was going to be a success though. Let's be frank if Pep says he wants to come to Chelsea they would negotiate Conte's release. |
lolawilliams:Ehen. Now you are learning No real hip hop head will not know about Royce Da 5'9. Atlanta have great artists won't say rappers. Though Outkast especially Andre can stand with anybody. T.I sef dey try back in the day All these mainstream people that always get hyped won't let you know there are many other dope MCs. |
raumdeuter:I can even give him a pass for last year's Barca but both Madrid ties were winnable. We were at full strength and had no business losing both ties. Madrid had never won in Munich not even in the years of European wilderness (02-07) what's worse he didn't even have the decency to own the loss instead claiming the players made him change tactics Let me chip in on Goetze. As you know I am his biggest advocate on this thread I think the coach put him on a very short leash. It was apparent from Day 1 that Goetze was not a Pep buy, however a great coach would have still tried to make him work. He was no Messi so I was alarmed seeing Pep trying to use him as a false 9. Then he was shifted from pillar to post but that didn't stop him from netting 14 goals and 15 assists. Instead of giving the boy an established role and trying to build up his confidence Pep was doing eye service and playing to the gallery. Even the games he started Goetze you could bet your mortgage that Pep would remove him somewhere between the 56th to 61st minute whether he played badly or not This season I think he started very well and his injury came at the worst possible time and worse it was a lengthy one. I think Pep was partial to some players and unfair to others. Juan Bernat is good enough to start CL semifinals and Goetze isn't? Thiago was good enough but Goetze wasn't? Being benched in these games tend to crush your confidence. It spilled into the National team too. Though he played well vs Portugal and Ghana. Then gets yanked off at halftime against Algeria in a match where everyone played like shyte till extra time That he came off the bench despite all that to win Germany its 4th World Cup says a lot about his character. I have also observed his behavior throughout this situation at Bayern. Not many players would handle themselves with the class he has. To be frank if I were him I'd either ask for an extension or wind down my contract if a CL club does not come calling. Another season on the bench is not the end of the world |
raumdeuter:Which is why he only got a 4 year deal. I'm sure Vidal can give us a couple more years. I doubt Bayern care about any profit off his sale. My most pressing concern is Robbery and how soon we can move on from them. We are the only elite team in Europe parading wingers pushing 35. Can't they do a Kobe and just announce their retirement going into next season since they are definitely not going to be sold. They have earned the right to go out on their own terms but that time needs to be now IMO. 2016/2017 should be their farewell tour. I would give Robben a 1 year extension on the condition that he does not play till after Winter break |
raumdeuter:Realistically the max I suspect we we would wind up paying is €40-50m. If he achieves the last two objectives then he is worth every cent Money dey ground well well this summer I suspect |
omotayos01:If he is as good as he has been touted then you never know. Alonso is old, Vidal is already pushing 30. I think its important we build a young core and with no outstanding talent coming from the academy we had to go for it. I think we also need to get a long term replacement for Lahm and offload Rafinha |
BTW Javi is a huge doubt for Dortmund |
Ahead of the Pokal Finals and Pep's last game. What would be your lineup? Also I'm curious as the Pep era winds down. What is the general assessment of him. The highs and lows and if you could describe his tenure in one word what would it be? For me Lahm---Boateng----Benatia----Alaba ------Alonso-------Vidal--------- Ribery----Mueller-------Costa ------Lewandowski-------- Alternately Lahm---Boateng----Benatia----Alaba ---------Thiago--Vidal--------- Mueller----Goetze------Costa ------Lewandowski-------- My assessment of Pep basically is he achieved the basic minimum with the squad he inherited and with the additions he made. Thrashings of arsenal, Dortmund, Man U, Wolfsburg, City at the Etihad and beating Chelsea to the Super Cup were the highs for me. The lows was obviously losing 4-0 at home to Madrid. I don't know if I will ever forgive Pep for that loss, his maltreatment of Goetze and chasing out Dr Wohlfahrt is another chapter of his numerous phuckups not forgetting how he dismantled Don Jupp's team. It must also be said that he suffered with injuries to the squad. We also took a little too long to get backups for Robbery The sore point for me is that aside Boateng I look around the squad and I can't point to any player that significantly developed under Pep If I were to describe Pep's stay at Bayern in one word it would be Anti-climax |
omotayos01:Welcome to the thread. I would not be surprised if the Apoche cra cra thinks you are me because his IQ is low like that but fire dey go. |
Series tied. No surprises whatsoever Its almost like the return of Curry has made everyone else lazy until last night You can't blame them too. Who else can drop 15pts in 2 mins. Very balanced display by the Warriors. 7 guys in double digits. Steph took just 15 shots and finished with 28pts As the series swings to OKC it would still boil down to how well the supporting cast of the Warriors can play, the Thunder don't have such depth so have to hope for a perfect game from Westbrook and K.D They do have the length and athleticism to bother the Warriors. I personally want to see how often Kerr uses the "death lineup" in OKC |
lolawilliams:I like your argument but I disagree and here is why. I for one didn't hate LeBron because he left Cleveland That aside do you think if Wade and Bosh were in their prime he would have left? Part of the reason he left the Heat was because he knew guys like Pat Riley would not dance to his tune. Going back to Cleveland where he is the 2nd coach, GM and has the owner at his beck and call ready to spend was a no brainer I hope you know Cleveland have the highest payroll in the league |
lolawilliams:Yesssssss |
lolawilliams:Yelawolf. Dej Loaf. They are all Detroit guys |
SIRcumalot:OKC vs Warriors na always high scoring game. For Finals you go see He will most likely limit his effectiveness. Didn't you see the clinic he put up the last time. |
airmark:Apoche cra cra. Who cursed you with this kind of stewpidity If I posted the exact lineup Dayo did the bipolar nitwit would wail. I posted a different lineup you are still wailing. Must my lineup be the same as Dayo's Are you not running mad like this? |
airmark:Who said they were of equal strength? The loss was less humiliating is the point. Oponu don't bounce just yet. Wait let me bash your head some more. So you don't go to another thread and m0ronically claim Javi has never started a crucial match at CB for Spain Titus Bramble. You have been thoroughly schooled I have shown you Javi starting ahead of fit CBs for club and country. Even sites that measure performance metrics and player positions all agree that Javi is also a CB. Whoscored, Transfermarkt and his wiki page cannot all be wrong Before you pull a straw man and post the Bayern page be sure to do the same for Barcelona and Mascherano and tell us where he is listed Mr All DMs are deep lying playmakers GOOFANTI |
kendrick9:I would have said we hold on to him but he is too injury prone. If we get a team willing to pay €20m let's sell him while we can |
kendrick9:Help me tell the Apoche cra cra. Almost two weeks now I have been drumming it into his head that is longer than Falomo Bridge |
lolawilliams:You guys initiated the trade for Love on LeBron's arrival. Irving was never going to be enough though hence the trade for Love Your boy knew what he was doing. D Wade is 34 and Bosh is 32 |
lolawilliams:Lol you are a mainstream babe. I was rolling on the floor when you called TLOP hardcore He is reppin Detroit. If you know Eminem its likely you know Royce You didn't hear Detroit vs Everybody? |
lolawilliams:Hahaha OK oh Its hard for anyone to call themselves a true GSW fan. I knew them when they had Baron Davis at PG and Mikael Pietrus manning the 2 and 3 along with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. They had no fans Their success story is sweet to watch though. Curry, Klay and Draymond were drafted and no one saw them coming. They are the perfect antidote to your LeBron who needs two ready made all stars anywhere he goes |
lolawilliams:Wolves is OK. I liked Chance's verse on Ultralight Beam Kendrick also killed in No more Parties in L.A But most of the album na noise. Walahi that album was not organized You don't know Royce Da 5'9? Bad Meets Evil, Slaughterhouse. I have a lot to teach you oh ![]() His latest album is Layers. SIRcumalot:The hype that surrounded it was TOO MUCH!!!! And it badly failed to deliver |
SIRcumalot:The Spurs had the best defense. They are also out. These things don't count in the playoffs Hawks and Golden State aren't in the same category of defense come playoff time |
lolawilliams:What was the result when Cavs and Golden State went head to head this season In a Finals all you need to do is limit his efficiency. If he needs 27 shots to score 28pts Iggy would have done his job |
lolawilliams:I am a very old school nigga when it comes to my taste in rap. I like being told a story. Listen to Forest Hill Drive you feel like you are being told a story, Only Built for Cuban Linx you feel like you are watching a movie TLOP is all over the place. The album no get head or tail. Sometimes I think Ye tries too hard. Genius should be effortless not forced Too much crowd mentality dey worry people so the album sales won't surprise me. Have you heard Royce's album? |
SIRcumalot:Yeezus was also trash. My Dark Beautiful Twisted Fantasy was Kanye's last good solo album lolawilliams:Blasphemy!!! Forest Hill Drive is better than both albums. |
lolawilliams:That Bini boy Iguodala would hold him down. Its unfortunate nobody in the East can take advantage of the laughable defensive abilities of Love and Irving |
