Sickness is a state where good health is missing and can also be described as something that is corrupting a good and healthy state of being. When Adam sinned, he condemned all of humanity to suffer the consequences of that sin, one of which is sickness. The sickness of someone can be the will of God but not in all cases because some people sick because of their own negligence and nonchalant attitude towards their own health and well being.

u started well sir. the origin of sickness is Adam's sin. which means that sickness is not the original will of God just as Adam's sin was not the will of God. it was a consequence of Adam's sin. neither the cause nor it's consequence is God's will

were these laws not peculiar to the Jews? were they not removed with the old covenant? would it not also require that we redeem our first born sons with an animal offering?

1. the enforcement of a law does not depend on the feelings of the subjects. that Amnon hated Tamar would not have stopped the law from being enforced. the prerogative lied with David in this case, the feelings of Am non irrespective. that it was not enforced was because David chose not to.

this law is to prevent rather than encourage rape. the man who does this is compelled to marry the damsel because he has publicly humiliated her and she might have difficulty getting respectably married.
