The interior minister has revealed that Muslims are not behind the southern Kaduna killings Speaking on the killings Dambazau warned against giving the killings a religion. The minister called on all quit from fanning the flames of religious division in the country Abdulrahman Dambazau the interior minister has warned opinion and religious leaders against giving the crisis in Southern Kaduna a religious connotation. Speaking on Tuesday, December 3, 2017, to the press, Dambazau, who is a retired general said that the crisis is between herdsmen and farmers. He issued an official statement through Mr Ehisienmen Osaigbovo, his press secretary in which he urged Nigerians to refrain from making incendiary comments about the Kaduna crisis. The retired general explained that due to their own personal gain and selfish interests, some people were always looking for ways to further create division along religious or ethnic lines. He said: “Economic growth and development will remain a mirage for Nigeria, with over 500 ethnic groups and multiple religions, unless we resolve to live amicably as a people with common destiny. They aim at creating instability in the country." He emphasized that criminals and other wicked people who perpetrate violence against innocent, law-abiding citizens do not discriminate along religious and ethnic lines. He used examples of how communities in Zamfara, Katsina, Taraba, Enugu, Lagos and Niger were victimized by those violent criminals. He reiterated: “A criminal should be treated as such, whether he is involved in armed robbery, drug trafficking, homicides or cattle rustling. “People should avoid honouring criminals with religious or ethnic attachment." In conclusion, he advised opinion and religious leaders to focus on the real enemies of our society, and said that he had directed the Nigerian Police to ensure the sustenance of law and order, and to arrest and prosecute anyone involved in criminal activities in the area and across the country. Senate president Abubakar Bukola Saraki confirmed this in a statement by his special assistant on new media Bamikole Omisore in Abuja on Tuesday, January 3. Ononye VC wrote in from Onitsha; Medical doctors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi, Anambra State, are in dilemma over the condition of a baby born recently without anus to determine the sex of the baby. And in order to excrete urine and feces, the doctors had to perforate the baby's abdomen to eliminate waste. The pathetic situation left the parents of the baby,Mr and Mrs Charles Ibeh whose only source of livelihood is petty trading crumbled and had to stop three of their other children from going to school while living with the agony of the strange medical condition. The harrowing story started when when the mother of the ill fated baby,Mrs Uchenna Ibeh was recently delivered of the baby in a private hospital in Onitsha through operation and it was discovered that the baby was utterly deformed with the entire intestine on the surface of the abdomen while the anus and genitals were nowhere to be found. They were subsequently referred to the Teaching Hospital,Nnewi where the doctors had to reposition the baby's intestines and created (perforated) an opening from where urine and feces are eliminated. Following the high cost of surgery and other treatments including X-ray and Scan which the couple could not afford, they were reportedly detained for days in the hospital such that when it became obvious to the hospital authorities that they were indigent and helpless, they decided to discharge them. The couple expressed gratitude to the hospital management for releasing but were sad that they (the hospital management) refused to give them official medical record of their baby to enable them solicit help from kind spirited people and institutions in order to show proof of their plight. According to them, all efforts to get the hospital authorities to do something failed and that they had no other choice than to go home with the baby. The couple appealed to kind spirited people and organisations, governments and churches all over the world to come to their aid financially and gave their contact address as,Mr and Mrs Charles and Uchenna Ibeh,No 19b Old Hospital Road,Onitsha,Anambra State,Nigeria. LT. COL. M.A. Ali was a great leader, A good Father and a very Simple Man Rest in Peace http://www.voicenaija.com.ng/2016/11/photos-of-late-lt-col-ma-ali-and-his.html

Profile of late Lt. Col. MA Ali by his colleagues of 50 Regular Course... Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un Hardly has a story of bravery evoked such passion in recent times amongst Nigerians as is being told of Late Lt. Col. Muhammed Abu Ali who died in confrontation with Boko Haram insurgents in the theatre of war against Boko Haram in the North Eastern part of Nigeria. Muhammed Abu Ali was born on the 15th of August, 1980 in Lagos State. With parents hailing from Kogi State, he attended Army Children’s School in Maiduguri and later on joined Command Secondary School, Jos. He joined the Nigeria Defence Academy in 1998 and became a commissioned officer in 2003. On the 25th of January, 2008, he and his heart throb whom he met in Kaduna got married and were blessed with 3 children - Fatima, Amir and Yasmin. Popularly called “Slim” by his friends and “Sarkin Yaki” by fellow combatants, he was known as a human terror to terror for his daring campaigns as Commander of the 272 Task Force Battalion. He fought for the glory of nation and was unshakable in his steely resolve to retain the territorial integrity of Nigeria – a price that came with the sacrifice of his life in the line of duty. A patriot per excellence and an unyielding force to enemies of our nationhood, Lt. Col Muhammed Abu Ali was not one to shy from battle. Under very difficult circumstances, he and his men successfully recovered scores of towns from Insurgents. Before he and four others fell in combat from an ambush, he had been decorated for his gallantry by the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, who decorated him as a Lieutenant Colonel in September 2015, shortly after he was promoted a Major. He was also Recipient of the Chief of Army Staff Award for Bravery and Excellence. In a statement by the Army Authorities, the fallen hero was said to “serve the nation with unwavering commitment and dedication, paying the ultimate price so that millions can sleep on their beds in peace”. From the frontlines, it is reported that he was instrumental to the military campaign that won back Baga from the stranglehold of Boko Haram. From soldiers in the frontline, we learn that he initially started his brave conquests from Yola, in Adamawa State from where he was moved to Borno. He and his battalion later moved to recover Monguno and later to Konduga - dreaded no-go areas of battle. Through Yale, he and his battalion were again instrumental to the recovery of Bama, Pulka and eventually Gwoza back to control of the Nigerian forces. The stories of uncommon courage that trails his achievements on his military assignments are unending. He was reputed as telling his men to load him up with 95% of the duties of engagement. He was a dutiful officer and will be missed by millions of Nigerians who today have come into new realisations of the challenges of the war front. Described by Coursemates as an irreplaceable asset that Nigeria will miss, Lt. Colonel Muhammed Abu Ali is a towering source of inspiration and will now serve as a rallying point for a united re-assessment of the support that our Men and Officers require for success. His, will also be a painful loss of friendship. Rest in Peace Gallant Soldier. Nigeria appreciates you. http://www.voicenaija.com.ng/2016/11/profile-of-late-lt-col-ma-ali-by-his.html

A Nigerian guy who claims he was scammed by the raving MMM community, shared his story to Laila. According to him, all was going well with the scheme until he decided to open an account for his cousin who also bares the same surname with him He wrote "It started on the 19th June 2016, My Friend introduced me to this MMM of a thing… I obliged and Joined… It was paying well, there was no comma or full stop, not all. Till I opened an account for my cousin who shared the same surname… Fast Forward,,, MMM ADMINISTRATOR placed my account on temporary moratorium of getting help as they provide and get help in the system on 13th September 2016 and told me to verify identity of which I did. After that, I kept on contacting MMM Support of which they assured me they will remove their God forsaken temporary moratorium which they have used to scam thousands of participants (not only me) as i found out they do it secretly and MMM fortifies its system with this… That also account in a way how they pay 30‰ to their teeming community of 30% earners (Guiders, referrals and ordinary participants)… Only for my account to be blocked by the administrator earlier today that I used two accounts that the registration and referral bonuses have been deleted while my #90,000 I paid since when I started MMM which yielded 189,000 naira parted with the blocked account. Even as it hurts me being my first time to be scammed… I will like Nigerians to thread with caution with this MMM of a thing and keep on pursuing their dreams as there is dignity in Labour. MMM IS A SCAM… For the Record, My blocked account in MMM is et4ita01@outlook.com with #189,000 trapped in it." http://www.voicenaija.com.ng/2016/11/nigerian-man-allegedly-scammed-189000.html
