Honestly it was not easy but's worth it. A lot of frustrations and embarrassment from people you want to help their communities. But with determination you will surely meet people that are willing to support good cause

By mid October I had gotten sponsorship from Haske Foundation (Mirian Azubuike) and other sponsors. So I started working on the water project and toilet renovation simulataneously.
The water project was commissioned in November by NYSC FCT Assistant Director CDS, fully represented by my NYSC Local Government Inspector and her esteem staff.

So, on 3rd October I was able to carry out another personal CDS project in GDSS Karu. SENSITIZATION ON HIV/AIDS & DANGERS OF NEGATIVE PEER INFLUENCE AND EXAM MALPRACTICE. I invited two guest speakers - a nurse and Olive Millz Foundation CEO (both corpers). I did the talk on Dangers of Exam Malpractice, the nurse sensitized the students on HIV/AIDS while the founder of Olive Millz Foundation talked on Peer influence and opened their minds to "self discovery."

"Community Development Service (CDS) is one of the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC in which corps members contribute positvely to the development of their host communities throughout the period of national service."
I have had it on mind since my graduation in 2015 to embark on personal CDS projects since i'v seen how corpers impact their various host communities during service. Thank God a close friend of mine embarked on some personal CDS during his service year in 2015 and I got more clue from him which motivated and made me determined to do same. Luckily, I saw a post on nairaland by tetengi4life (Muhammad Idris) on "NYSC personal CDS made easy" and I contacted him for guide. He assisted me with some useful materials and has been of help all along. (Btw, I was posted to FCT - Abuja and my PPA is Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Karu - Abuja).
So, with the help of well meaning and good spirited Nigerians I was able to accomplish the following CDS projects in my host community.
1. Free Skills acquisition training on production of liquid washing soap to staff and students of GDSS Karu, LEA Ayenajeyi Pry sch Karu and my cds group.
2. Sensitization programme on HIV/AIDS and the effects of Negative peer influence and examination malpractice in secondary schools.
3. Donation of electrical water pump and repair of spoilt taps in LEA pry sch.
4. Renovation of dilapidated toilet in LEA pry sch

Below are some pictures from the executed projects in GDSS and LEA Ayenajeyi Primary School all in Karu with commendation letters from the beneficiaries.

She's only sharing her testimony with pictorial evidence it doesn't matter if its selfie or she invited a photographer to take the photos. I know not all selfies are good but this is not a bad one people!

The young lady identified as Judith also shared a photo of her mangled car and wrote:
"It's only by God's grace and love that we (my preg aunt, her 2 little children, the driver and I) were able to survive this. Words can't express how shocked, scared and confused I was and still am but am grateful to God that we all came out of it alive..."

Call-up letter is not gonna be printed via sms so whether you got the sms or not so long you have your call-up number you can login on the day it will be available and print your call-up letter!

Understandably, all of us that were in Stream 2 felt disappointed that day we realised our status. Some had already packed their belongings ready to travel to their 'would-be' camp the next day only to receive the shocker of their life. Still, some others like myself had already told most of my friends that I would be camp by so so date. Little wonder many counted themselves as being unfortunate and unlucky, especially when they saw their friends and coursemates among the 'chosen' Stream 1 group.

But today, two or three members of the fortunate Stream 1 batch are no more. They died right there in camp. What a pity! It could have been you that is now sitting at home waiting for January 4, but God use this Stream 2 delay to avert it for you. Afterall, it's better late than late. (Appreciate Jehovah).

Now, the crux of the matter is this,
no matter how hard it might be, please neither condemn nor commend any situation until you see the end.

The God we serve will never fail to upturn our mess to a message, disappointment to appointment, disgrace to grace, and story to glory.

My school and nysc have been 'dulling' me since last year, I was posted to a state I did not choose but my sch did not release my statement of result. And now that i'v told everybody that i'l be in camp on 24th Nov i'v been slated for stream II (January 2017). Glory be to God and let His will be done.

Yay!!! Stream II. registered on the 18th of Oct ( 2nd day) got a msg from NYSC saying I'm not in stream I... it's actually what I wanted. Stream II Rocks!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I found a mate
I reg (revalidated) in the morning of 18th Oct (which was my bday.
Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna and Enugu.
Stream1 would have destabilize some of my activities so I thank God for stream II. Lets rock it baby

It was a random selection, I can say I was the first to reg in my school (or among the first) becuase they (Kogi State Uni) uploaded senate approved list in the evening of 18th but I logged in in the morning and did my revalidation, I know someone that reg on the 2nd to the last day and fell to stream1.
Lets hope we are posted to where our destiny is IJN!
