Umelalaje:Is there one? |
They have started reaching out to let you know if you made it to the interview. |
kingsmecca:I can assure you it is legit. If you were selected you would have also gotten a call from someone from HCP. |
simplebb:LMAO where I work at the moment closing time is a myth. So me saying closing by 4 is basically me hoping to see where there are some considerations for work life balance. And I am asking about the pay because if it is not up to double of my current earnings then it might not be worth it. But oh well. |
simplebb:So does anyone know what the pay models are for Seplat or NGC? And would it be possible to negotiate rank as well? Especially for some of us that have been working full time in major companies for almost two years now but are currently being lured by the promise of closing by 4pm and more money? |
ojadetayo:Mine is on the 4th of June |
Abeg anyone know how much the salary is for those that have current jobs so we know what to consider to take this seriously. The speed of the process and poor communication is already a bad sign. |
simplebb:Na wa so wait was that all there was to it? Like from there next thing is offer letter? |
Abeg does anyone know anyone inside that they can ask to find out how far? Because we wrote that test almost three months ago now, and frankly I don't think we were more than 100 people that wrote the test. Sifting through who will go through or not should not be hard since it is a computer based test with instant results. I don't understand what the hold up is about. |
Anyone gotten any news yet at all? Or is anyone on the inside that can help some brothers and sisters out? Biko pls |
Any Update? |
Firstly, for you guys that have not received any offers just sit back and wait. This is certified information from the HR today during the induction so pay attention. 40 candidates were included in the November batch. 24 of us started on the 7th of November (today) and the rest are in for the 15 of Nov induction so those ones have not resumed yet. Now here is the thing, the HR said there is another Batch that are to start in December or January (depending on how long it takes them to put things together) so as long as you have not gotten an email don't lose hope. There is probably space for another 40 people (if the number will be the same with this one). No vex for the HR. They are about 4 in the unit in charge of over 500 staff and they are monitoring a lot of things with software at the moment and they have been working till 9 pm daily to even meet up with the work on ground. Sit tight and keep your hopes up. They were employing a lot of people for Assurance (Audit) but not that many for Advisory. I applied for Advisory and there was just one more person accepted in my induction group. The rest were split within Audit, Tax and Transaction Advisory Services. For those that are curious about the salary it is 3M per year. That is your pay before deducting taxes, Health Insurance and Pension, and it is inclusive of other bonuses. So be looking at around 160k or so per month net. You get a laptop and phone and some other perks but that is as much as I know. Hope this is helpful. The work is very software based and they monitor your actions and progress so no one is left behind. If you live far start thinking of measures to take to navigate traffic because these days I am not understanding. 40 minute trips that normally take 15 minutes without traffic is now taking almost 2 hours. |
mimeedy:Yes. Met one guy. Btw resumption is on the 7th of November |
AaronOwjay:Actually scratch that. Only about 20 |
Emmyope:Will update when we get it. Currently in the waiting room and there are 30 of us, out of the 150 that made it to the final stage. |
Jeanbinho:Operations improvement advisory |
Just got an email to come and collect the offer letter on Monday. Letter content Dear xxxxxxx, I trust you are well. We are pleased to inform you that you have been offered a role in our Advisory Service line. Kindly come to our office on Monday 5 November 2018 by 12 Noon. Thanks. |
Not sure where that guy got his information. A legit source said by Monday, and the resumption would be on the 7th. I always take things sceptically so I was a bit surprised that people are getting emails already. |
I have a friend that knows someone that's serving at EY. Apparently we could be getting the emails this week. Apparently. Take it with a pinch of salt. |
Toluchenko:Well how will you resume if there is no laptop for you to work with? That is all I can think about concerning that. I am sure there are other things that have a bigger role in delaying the recruitment, and obviously not all of it will be public knowledge. All we can do is keep applying to other places if possible and then eventually if EY comes it comes. I have the feeling some people might have gotten job offers from other companies while the wait has been going on lol. |
Just got some news from someone working in EY. Apparently they had some delays in getting the custom laptops from DELL and apparently there were other things that came up (but wasn't shared). This was about a month ago sha so I guess these things have not been resolved yet. |
This their 2 weeks get as e be sha. oludayoJr:How many people are you certain of that didn't get the mail? I know for the face to face interviews we were 169 in total. Not sure how many they removed to get to the final stage because we were still plenty. Imagine after all the gra gra they just end up taking two for each service line? Totaling around 10 applicants? I got the email sha about holding on. I hope this one goes well, and I wish success to those that get this one, and good luck for the next one for those that dont get this one (I could very well be among the good luck crew but oh well) Can you see what boredom mixed with anxiety is causing? |
Akpasomething:I am unaware of this. There are 60 odd people in the group chat and well granted not all of them made it to the final stage, it would be utterly optimistic to assume that all the people that made it to the final interview in the group chat all have job offers (Since no one has received a regret email at the mo, or at least admitted to it) |
Juniorafri:The others are in the group chat that they formed. So if there are three here then it should be around 9 in total that we know about so far. Mind you that there are a lot of other people not on Nairaland or on the group chat on whatsapp so it is very well possible that it is over. I hope it isn't. I really do. I have done so much and had to climb through so many hurdles for it to end this way, and I am getting older so most large companies with a decent pay grade and structure would no longer be considering me for the graduate trainee role after next year. I have about 2.5 years of pre nysc experience due to some unfortunate circumstances but for most of these guys it doesn't count even if I was working full time with real responsibilities as a full time staff (just without the full time staff pay) Anyhow sha. Let us see how it goes. For those of you that have gotten emails I am extremely proud and happy for you. It wasn't an easy process and I can understand the effort you guys put into this to get to this stage. Just make sure you can make the best of the opportunity and not try to be a Lagos big boy/girl and actually make a positive impact to a society that really needs it now. Sorry for the rant. And those still hoping like me, may the odds be in our favor. Shalom. |
@chuxity yeah about 7 people now have gotten emails. The only consolation I can give now is that the emails were sent one by one, with a few minutes in-between, meaning that it could be one person that was charged with doing it, or that they have to be verified by someone else first. The emails started by 6.58 and stopped coming by around 7.30, probably when the person was leaving to go home for the weekend probably. This is all speculation so let's see how it goes on Monday when they resume. |
Chuxity:Nothing yet o. We are all waiting and seeing how much Kidney is on the black market ![]() |
Chuxity:Not yet. They said 3 - 4 weeks after. Today makes it just two weeks since the first interview was held and 4 days since the last one was held, so not even sure if we are waiting 3 - 4 weeks from the first day or from the last day. Everyone should just carryon with their lives and not dwell too much on it before it gives someone heart attack to have come this far and still end up getting ela. |
mattyjay:Because those that have anything to say will be wary of saying anything because the final interview is this week and they risk advising another person that could now outperform them because of the advice. There have been two sets of people that have gone in for the interviews (yesterday and today) and please if you have can you let us know at least when they said they will get back to you ? |
Akpasomething:Baba for this kind of opportunity better borrow the money you need to travel if you don't have or just say you are sick if you are supposed to be at work. They don't reschedule these things. If you don't turn up it means one less person they have to deal with to make their work easier |
AgamaProf:Business management. So the areas I will be applying to is External Affairs or Corporate Planning. Any luck on your side? |
Just got an update guys They just sent an email. There is one more stage. Final interview Dear O***** ********, Further to your Participation at the Assessment Centre held in March, 2018, we are pleased to inform you that you have been short-listed for the final interview. The interview will last about 40 minutes during which you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your suitability for the graduate trainee scheme. You will be asked basic competency questions covering leadership and your specified area of interest (to be filled in the section below). The details of the interview are: Date: Wednesday, 9th May, 2018 This is just the top of the email. |
Chuxity:Feels like you are trying really hard to keep yourself motivated. Please try for me too. The suspense is making me numb. Imagine waiting for this long only to be shot down at the end. Let me even break down the chances of even being successful for you guys. Basically we were 400+ at the AC I spoke to some of the guys conducting the AC after it was done and they said Seplat needed around 30-50 people max that would be spread across all of their offices and sites in Nigeria. This simply means 350-370 people will have waited for an entire month to get rejection emails. Which basically is them saying only around 9-12% of people will get the job. . .and the probability of me or you being among those people is 1 in 10 (+/-) meaning from all the groups of 11 or so we were split into that day, only one of the team members would make the cut. Hope you have a good weekend though. |

No, not possible.... This is Graduate Trainee bro, if you like get 3 yrs experience it doesn't count with pay or rank, simply put, this is an entry level position. Infact you get same pay with someone who has 0 yr work experience...
