“After the assessment of the integrity of the complex, experts warned the government that continuing to use the building in its present state would be disastrous.

“The government had tried all cost-saving measures towards the repair of the complex until it bowed to the superior view of rebuilding the complex to a more befitting edifice,” he said.

Chai so Wike now decides ethnic classification in Nigeria. To me I see this as more of "end justifies the means" political strategy. It's not about the world believing but reality cause I've been a millionaire in Dollar for more than 15 years, nobody knows me and I don't count myself as rich cause I already know thousands of people much wealthier. The devaluation of Naira in 2023 reduced many people's worth but not to the level of only 4200 millionaires in Lagos .

Fubara is a gentleman that's all. I like the fact that he has not allowed Rivers people take the fight to the streets making businesses thrive in peace but further provocation might lead to spontaneous violence by angry Rivers people. I believe it will be wise Tinubu use his office as President to prevent another war front from emerging in Rivers State. Buhari destroyed security of Southeast through bad strategic decision but things seem to move on because Southeast is inland and does not affect Nigerian oil exports. Rivers State is the most important State for Nigeria's economy and if this war is allowed it will cripple our economy in weeks if not days.

Your assumption is based on a just society where the Government is most times morally upright but in Nigeria and Africa it could be a recipe for war. Most Rivers people are against Wike disturbing governance with federal backing and may choose anarchy which will further compound the security situation in Nigeria.

Don’t mind the comments trolling you. I earn way above that and in similar situation. I used to have a large amount of savings before this Tinubu regime but I have eroded most of it to survive. I was sad at first and shame cannot let me reveal how much I earn and can’t save until I opened up and found out many of my colleagues are facing similar challenges since Tinubu regime.

I’m consuming way less than I used to back around 2022 and have cut down so many things but still not working. I can’t remember when last I went to Cubana to sit out or bought a nice outfit for myself. Something I used to do before and still have extra to save every month. I go to market to buy food items for the house and 200k items are not even much again.

My major expenses are rent at least 200k monthly, food stuff another 150k-200k, fuel to work daily cost me around 130k/month in Tinubu’s economy (1k/liter), school fees 100k monthly, internet/electricity/netflix another 70k monthly. I avoid impulse buying and no longer snack or eat out yet still not easy to manage.

I wonder how people earning less are surviving and everyone is acting normal.

You're a family man so it may not be enough but the OP might be single with no recurrent expenses besides food, cloth and women.

Na you wey no use am well as long as you are a single guy not carrying any family problems. A single guy can save 300k monthly and still solve problems and live decently with the 200k balance but a family of 7 will need more.
