Lol I don't think your LGI can do much here, but you can give it a try. Why i say he might not do much is because your ppa is the one paying you for the service you render in their school and not NYSC.

Yes it's possible to be working while serving. All you need is to work it out to the state your current job is at then you either use your office as ppa or as a second ppa.

Yes you can change your local government and it's not a must you meet your LGI but it's the official way. Abuja has nothing to do with changing your ppa.

I met someone who kind of condemned me.. she said by the time I finished NYSC that I would be 26, that I might not get a good job since all the job adverts around usually says not more than 25 years... that unless I want to run a business... kinda thinking about it since yesterday...please advice me... very needed urgently .

Lol that person really don't like you. Does she expect you to cheat nature? You'll be 26 when you finish NYSC and so what? If there's a job for you after service, you'll certainly get it. Just do your best and leave the rest for God. Most job opportunities that requests for such age are banks but lately they're coming up to 27 and 28 years, so your still fresh and can still land your dream job.

You can learn a skill if your interested or get a higher institution as a second ppa where they might retain you afterwards or if your serving in aks town, you can become a private tutor for some students that is if your teaching.

NYSC needs it as part of their requirement to know if your legit or not. School needs it as well because they supply those details to nysc.

Registration is February and camp is March. Most schools will resume fully tomorrow, so you can start clearance from tomorrow if your very interested in joining batch A.

Congratulations to all prospective batch A corpers because registration starts mid February 2020 while camp opens mid March 2020, therefore it's time to start your clearance in school, sorting out all problems that might hinder your not going with this coming batch A. Most people take it lightly but clearance sometimes can be very slow due to processing of results and signing of results from the appropriate office therefore PCM's should endeavour to commence clearance as soon as it starts in their various academic institutions.
But the good news is that there are 2 more batches (B and C) with 2 streams each coming up as well so all hope is not lost if you don't meet up with batch A.

NYSC Batch A 2020 Requirements To put in place.
To begin the 2020 NYSC Batch A online registration, you need to get keep the below details:

1) First check your name on the JAMB Matriculation board. (To see how it is arranged. i.e Surname, First name and Middle name)
2) JAMB registration Number.
3) Matriculation Number
4) Bio Data (First name, middle name and surname well placed on your certificate)
5) Date of birth
6) Place of birth
7) Marital status (Married women are to keep Marriage certificate, newspaper change of name, husband’s id card, Utility bill etc)
cool Passport (white Background)
9) Name of next of kin (two (2)) and their address, phone number etc
10) Name of school attended from primary – tertiary level, starting date and ending date
11) Shoe size, cloth size and trouser size
Note- during the online registration, you will be asked to do a biometric capture (Thump Print)
After or before the Online registration, you will be required to make payment (Online or via Bank)
How to begin your NYSC Batch A online registration 2020
All registration are to be made on the NYSC registration page ONLY. www.portal.nysc.org.ng

So all prospective NYSC members are to note the dates and know more things about the NYSC mobilization before commencing to the online registration portal. They include;

i) Know How to choose NYSC state(you will have four state options from the 6 geopolitical zones in the country & Abuja and Lagos states are hidden 95% of the time) and requirements for the NYSC camping.
ii) Know some NYSC camp rules, Things about PPA ie Primary place of Assignment after your 3 weeks in camp.
iii) Know some NYSC Top paying states when choosing your NYSC State.

How do NYSC group people into the different batches? I would like to go with batch C this year. Do I have to do the registration when it starts or skip for a latter one(if there is any)?

NYSC does not do the grouping but it's down to you and your educational institution. i.e. if you have no issues with results, completing your clearance on time, registering for NYSC mobilization in your school, etc and your educational institution has to compile a list of qualified candidates which will be uploaded on the Senate list.
If you want to join batch C then you'll have to wait for some time before you start clearance and register for mobilization.

Yes that's the information I got. You'll have to report to your service state and inform them about it at the secretariat, if the problem persists.

Nysc registration starts mid February and not January. Please give good and unadulterated information to pcm's.

No discharge certificate for you if you don't complete it and unless you intend working where your traveling to without the discharge certificate, then no problems. Because major jobs in the country demands your certificate.

The certificate you collect before 30 is called discharge certificate but the one you collect at and after 30 is called exemption letter or certificate and there's no difference between them when applying for jobs just that there's no way you can reduce your age anymore when applying for jobs that require an age not up to 30.

I promised to keep all corpers and prospective corp members updated on the latest information as it comes so no one will be left behind.
In NYSC 2020, there will be 3 batches of corpers posted to serve their fatherland (A, B and C), where batch A will not have any stream but batch B and C comes with stream 1 and 2 each.

I am a batch a 2019 corp member. I left camp april so my clearance for april was showing 'absent' which i was told by my lgi is normal.
But the issue now is i checked my clearance for 'april' this morning and is now showing 'present' and i have not been paid for the month of april. i am not the only affected. is this normal?

Where you paid in camp on the day of passing out? If yes then there'll be no clearance for the next month and will show "absent" on your dashboard. If it's an error and you know some people that has been paid, write a letter of non payment for that month and attach your bank statement to it, then submit it at the secretariat or to your LGI or ZI.

Registration for 2020 batch A starts February and camp opens in March. Call up letters will be out 1 week before camp opening.

No it cannot be used for that purpose unless your having issues with your nysc account while your still a corp member.

Not all PPA's provide accommodation for corpers. The ones that are likely to provide good accommodation are the private companies or offices and a few government workplaces.

For NYSC 2020 it's still the same number of batches (A,B and C) with batch A not having any streams but just batch A. And registration starts mid February while camp opens in mid March as well. You need to get started with your school clearance and sort any problems relating to that. Inside camp you'll need to be comfortable by having a reasonable amount of cash with you so you can be able to enjoy it to the fullest. You also have to enter camp with the necessary items you'd be making use of, avoid going with sharp objects or weapons to avoid problems. Meet people, create connections and enjoy camp because You won't get the opportunity twice.
